BtW veering o/t slightly (prompted by the Camry upthread a bit) but does anyone else think the presence of "Export" in an ad is another of those desparate hopeful keywords - as in "for export as it can almost certainly never be made road legal again the UK"?

I think it's also an excuse for setting the price a lot higher than it should be. I've no idea how/if it works.

You can tell I am of a certain age because whenever I see a yellow one of those [TR7] I am reminded of...

Same here but Lance Stater has now replaced Purdey in my 'Mind Palace'...

Currently half-heartedly (lack of funds) browsing old smokers (for classic insurance and OMGMPG) and Jags - better half having taken an *irrational dislike to the Octavias rockhard suspension.

In my watch list. Might get a boozed up bid.

The thing on the transporter waiting to join (or leave) his collection looks much more like it.

This is so hideous I love it, fortunately it is in the USA so the temptation can be resisted.

Your luck is holding strong as it's in the Chicago area, otherwise I would've volunteered to go and kick the tyres for you, and then you would've had to buy it...

That rancho is 1792 miles away, apparently 31 hours and 2 minutes........

Ryanair flight from Stanstead £47.99 for next saturday....

MUST STOP LOOKING

Look deeply into the Rancho's eyes and when you awake you will find yourself disembarking a Ryanair flight in Malta...

Go on, you know it makes sense... do it, do it NOW!

I asked the question about the Maltese Rancho, where would you find another one? On Le Bon Coin apparently...

Doom Blue BX. Needs steels and trims to replace those awful alloys.

This may be the only VW van I would own.

DO NOT PAINT!

This is going to surprise a lot of people.......

...but I agree!  Not only that, if it was nearer to being roadworthy it would now be on my watch list.  I used to drive these (in pickup form) in a previous job, and I actually thought they were quite a nice van.  However: VW.  I've amazed myself with how attractive I find that van.  No doubt the feeling will disappear as the price shoots up, because VW. :(

Malta must be the place. Rancho, 132 and a Fiat Uno Turbo I was looking at last night.  BTW after 84 viewings that 132 has gone

more beige loveliness from BL's back catalogue.

i know its been listed before but lets bask in the "beauty" of Issigonis's last car to make it into production.

for me, i think the Maxi 2 is the bestest of all the Maxi's, and that interior, it looks so inviting (again to me)

again its not a cheap car, but it seems that the remaining Maxi's aren't cheap any more (not that there are many left)

one more beige delight from BL's dark days.

its not cheap, but for a mini its not a huge amount.

i wonder how easy it would be to de-mong it and put it back onto 10 inch wheels.

What a horrific dog's toilet

It would almost be worth getting married so you can hire that, and both you and your new wife could plot to open the rear doors and stand on the sills at the same time, causing it to fold in half amusingly, then drive to the wedding reception (or the divorce solicitors) with it scraping its gut along the floor like an old, cancer-addled dachshund.

I refused to like the picture of that abortion of a mini, so I liked Mr B's post which conveys a similar opinion to mine.
