eBay tat volume 3.

Incredible. I have no idea why it has NACA ducts in the rear wings though.

Unnecessary ducts and scoops tend to get called 'fart vents' round my way (West Cumbria). The car usually makes a corresponding noise as well, thanks to drainpipe and/or drilled exhausts.

'you wouldn't see another one the same'

There's a shame.

'have just retrained as a chef'

Having left your previous job as a tester for a Columbian marching powder company?

I hate those rear lights with a passion, saw a Calibra with some the other day and just wondered how on earth folk think they are an improvement on the originals?

I guess that's why I am on this forum...

Presumably the inspiration for the colour scheme came to them in their first job in catering - working on Bassett's Fruit Salad production line.

'ENGINE LOOKS CATS ARSE'

Ditto your photographs and description chief.

*Si: The only car lights like that have ever looked good on are genuine 'Afterburners' on a nice Nova.

Credit where credit's due, at least the vendor of this hasn't just tried to sell a log book and chassis tags. He might just as well have though...

'among them is a rebuilt engine from quicksilver racing, new bumpers, and a new gas tank....This rare original LHD Lotus Cortina'

If that's true then it's an utter bargain considering what these things fetch, despite it's awful looking condition.

Granted, I've never been to Kirkcaldy, but the background of that picture looks FORRIN...may explain the use of the words 'gas tank'.

Would love one of these and this colour suits them well.

'LISTED IN THE CLASSIC SECTION AS SOMEBODY MAY WANT A GOOD CHEAP RUNABOUT.'

WORD. I mean it's not like anyone looking through the cars section wants a good cheap runabout, is it?

*I still would though, it just needs leather (Trigger) and it's be right fit.

Someone on here, please buy that Bond! Preferably someone on the south coast seeing as it's in Aberdeen. Epic road trip "I ignored Ebay sellers advice!" story guaranteed.

Looks like someone had their ebay account hacked. The listing's been cancelled, the photo'ss from the wrong side of the Atlantic and the seller's feedback is all for women's and kid's stuff...

 I wonder if one day there won't any Reliant cars left that someone hasn't Trotterised/raced/generally fucked up in the name of being 'wacky' and 'original'.

If this is a re-post, we see these so rarely that I don't think it'll matter too much.

I've no idea. Sam Glover owns one. The last time I saw a pic of it, it was on its roof, though that was part of a restoration...

Are Bond 875s any good?

Any experiences, recommendations, things to check, idea of value?

They are fugging terrifying. Seriously overpowered, even with a low-compression 875 engine. You're sat with your arse almost dragging on the ground, no seatbelts and pretty much bugger all in front of you apart from fibreglass. They'll do nearly 90 if you're mental enough to try (I never took mine over 60, that was more than enough). They handle a lot better than a Regal though, and aren't as offensively noisy. Would assume that, as with Imps, HGF issues can be alleviated by running pure antifreeze in the cooling system. They're not worth a huge amount, even in good nick, and scruffy ones go for peanuts. Plus the facelifted ones look a bit like a Peugeot 204 from the front, if you squint a bit, which has to be a good thing.

I've heard that they can wheelie...

Don't Imp engines have cooling/HGF issues? Any idea if that effects the 875?
If the engine's managed to make it to the present day, then I suspect it's ok.

That Bond is ACE!! Buy it Tayne. Is it just me, or does the front remind you of a squashed Princess? if you get it you could call it Diana :)
