Ross_K Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-FORD-ESC ... 0692978296 Check out this thunderously shit Yankee escort. Its got a 1.9 CVH engine apparently so i imagine could be quite appealing to some no-necked wanker who will fit the bottom end in his RS TURBO CONVERTIBLE 300BHP MOTORSPORT and blow it up in about a week. Piece of shit. Not so interesting fact: The 89 Escort was only car ever featured on Pimp My RIde that they straight out refused to "pimp". They got rid of it and gave the owner a Toyota or something.
Volksy Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I quite like that Yankee Escort, Yes i'm sure it's utterly crap, and probably develops about 9bhp due to the wheezy CVH being 'smogged up' But it looks like a chinese copy of a Mk3, or one of those cheap toy cars that bare a 'slight' resemblance to the vehicle it's supposed to be. I'm also assuming it's probably Mazda 323 based, hence the oddly narrow track and short wheelbase. Comes with instant Aframe brackets attached too!

HillmanImp Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 That Escort even has that horrible seat belt system that strangles you when you turn the ignition on. GR 2.5 for dogging. There is no way a fat hairy 45yr old dinnerlady could lie there spreadeagled whilst Stan Collymore and Steve McFadden spaffed on the door. She would get tangled up in the belts.
Spottedlaurel Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 That generation of Laurel (C33) is amazingly good-looking, I’d love one someday. Stuff underneath is similar to Silvia/Skyline of the time, so shouldn’t be too big a problem for parts. The OMGDRIFT people seem to like them, though probably not with a diesel engine. Found one in a Suffolk scrapyard a few years ago, the grille off it is in my garage and that may be the closest I’ll get to owning one for the foreseeable future...
gtd2000 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1980-Mitsubis ... 0756634137 This looks pretty class this is a very fast car No it isnt, thats a blatant lie. mot has just expired and will have no bother going through it again come on man, you want £2000 for the fuggin thing, spend £40 on a ticket you tightwad bastard 40mpg average as well...... My old 2 Litre did 28mpg average - I'd not expect much more than that from the 1.6 Litre.
Spiny Norman Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 OMG RATLOOK POLO!! What a cockwhisk..... not safe to drive at allReally, I'd never have guessed from looking at it....
Spiny Norman Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Skidder with potential, maybe? Sadly, a fool has attempted to break into the rear engine bootlid as seen in pics, if only they had just used the boot release just inside the rear passenger door!Wouldn't you have just loved to see their faces when they saw an engine in the 'boot'?

Mr_Bo11ox Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120905204970 I had a cheeky bid on this today, a tidy Cavalier L with the 2.0 injection engine. No MOT but a little bit of tax. Went for £600!!! A lot more than I was prepared to pay. I'm sure i've seen this a couple of times before on the bay and its not made that much even with a decent test on it. Maybe we'll see it again in a few days.
