I just cant get enthusiastic about Mk3 Fiestas. I had a couple (one was even stolen by one of my patients, but sadly I got it back more or less in one piece) and they were all deeply hateful cars. Now show me a clean Mk2 and I will show you a smile.

Same here. The mk.1 is a lovely design, the mk.2 was ok. The mk.4 looked a bit shit and had the world's worst glovebox but drove rather nicely. Now I like Fords, but the mk.3 Fiesta is shit. Every example I've driven has been utterly dismal in every way

No interest in Audis of that vintage, sorry, but can anyone tell me why the Mustang in the background has such a familiar reg? PGO 61E just turned a bloody light on in my brain but I cannot for the life of me work out why :/

+1 on that reg number, was going to mention it earlier and forgot. Is it an ex-television/film car or something do you reckon?

'Whoever built this did a fantastic job'

The last time I saw a 'fantastic job' like this was when an elephant at Chester Zoo curled one off right in front of me.

Verdict: Whoever built this did a f*cked up job and should be kneecapped.

Wow that red Alpine is the tits and incredibly cheap.

It's also in a wonderful location:

Going back a few pages.

The Escort GTS was a main dealer special buit by Hendy Ford iirc Approx 16 cars were produced with consecutive GTS plates, I don't think this one is entirely original as I remember these having Rs 'Snowflake' alloys.

This has been arsed about with a bit, but not too bad for an ex-charity rally car to be fair. It's also quite cheap for an 800 Koop.

Big love for that turbo colt.

I think the 80's and early 90's were bloody ace for Jap hot-hatches.

Monsieur bollox - 2-door Rangies were sold in France for ages after we stopped getting them. Suspect a few were commericals given that the French have rather a fetish for turning cars into vans.

That Rangey is lush, major want and I think its a bit of a bargain..... Anyone want to go and fetch it for me

Mrs_Ceri and I are considering getting a seven seater. I've explained that I'm not prepared to drive around in a Zafira of Hyundai Tragic or whatever (I've done my stint in a Scenic) so it basically has to be a big Volvo or Merc. To my mild surprise she is happy with this and has even hit 'watch' on a selection of old barges with seats in the boot. She missed this one though, which hits the shite button because it's tax-exempt, a bit ropey, and the back seats don't actually fold out properly. I think it's great, obvs.

Minus points to the seller for using the phrase 'surfer wagon' though.

Blimey that Argenta is a bit of a find, that has been on ebay in the past a couple of times in ‘on the road’ condition, looks a bit sad now! I reckon its at quite high risk of being enginebummed. I’d quite like to sell mine TBH but worry about its long-term life chances. It might just end up back in the fuggin barn

that 2 door Mk5 Cortina/ Tornarse Ghia is a great deal at 400 euros. You only got base and L models on a 2 door shell here so its got me drooling. WANT

Todays burning question: Which football club did the owner of this car play for?

1) Dagenham and Redbridge

2) Arsenal

3) Kilmarnock.

4) Oxford Utd.

Certainly not Rangers.
