I've popped an offer in on the Colt too, but reckon I'm being a bit optimistic with my valuation. :?

Hmm. Ex-Dunley Service Station  vehicle...?

Can't find any pics of the back of it so cannot say; there can't have been many Mitsubishi agencies in Worcester area in 1980 / 81. When did they stop selling them as Colts and start calling them Mitsubishis (in the UK)?

Mid eighties they started to brand more as Mitsubishi rather than Colt - which was also a model name, which is how we got Colt Mirage - not confusing, honestly.

Throw Lonsdale into there as well and it was luuurvely. made sense at the time though. Glory days.

What have you put on it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm also fascinated by it, but have literally no idea, not even to an order of magnitude, how much it's worth.

Mine was a BFG LHD (1983) model and was badged Mitsubishi Mirage, mine was only the 1250 but they were nippy little things to drive.

Even took my Suzuki GT250X7 to and from Germany in it (from Scotland!).

That Colt is rather special, if I had the money I'd happily offer £1000 for it.

On a serious note, I got a set of whitewall tyres off the Bay once that the vendor had spelt incorrectly and placed the advert in garden furniture.

He was uber pissed off when I handed over a tenner and took them away, i think he expected a couple of hundred sheet for them

I get the feeling there is a reserve of a grand on the Colt..?

It has a splitter box - 4 speeds as per spec, two speeds on input shaft. pull off in Power 1 then dance with levers. Also means you can change up when reversing.

leave it in 'power' round town. use 'Economy' for cruising etc. or any combination of.

Don't worry if it's noisy (they all do that). Rebuilt hundreds of the things.  :-)

a car..with a splitter box? bloody hell, I have much wantage

Incredibly well engineered things, a decade+ ahead of Golfs, ZXs etc in terms of quality. The latter is being sold as a runner with short MOT, barg?

We are starting the auction at £90 only because thats what its worth in scrap ok.

Finally some honesty!
