Seller says early 70's but from the little I remember CD's looked like this forever.

My mate had one of those CD175 in the 70's, and whilst riding to work found himself surrounded by Hells Angels on choppers .. Bricking it somewhat , he kept his head down and made no eye contact... One angel pulled close along side and shouted... my mate looked up , to see the angel give him a thumbs up and pointed at the bike!!! A mighty bellow of noisy engines and they charged off ..

I bought the bike from him for 25quid later

This doesn't look half-bad does it? Should have no nasty hidden surprises at least. Sadly it looks like transporting it from that there London would be much harder than fixing it.

.... a roll of Mig wire + a MOD filing cabinet. Is that basically what will see this back on the road??

All in all... agreed, not likely to hide true horrors. Probably a nice ride at the end of the day.

I bet the handling is awesome with all that weight ahead of the front axle

I'm not sure what plod would think to you riding about in a car with POLICE written down the side, however unconvincing it might be.

I've had several. It doesn't really notice until you try to test its handling on the twisty bits.

I know that car.  It's been extensively lightened, by which I don't mean the rust has been left in but the owner has been obsessive about making the thing lighter in every way he can.  It's also stupidly quick off the mark, even for one of these.  I wonder what his new project is?  I'll have to ask Mike, he knows the guy far better than I do.

When I spotted this it was at £75.  It's already at £204 within just a few minutes.  It's very nice, even the aftermarket wheel trims aren't as offensive as they could be.

Daimler Conquest.  Pre-1960 means I can just drive this home right.  RIGHT?

Yes, a few squirts of tyre foam, a good dose of Easy Start (it really does wake the dead) and a bit of petrol should see you up, running and away home.

I have to say it takes some skill to carefully lacquer peel an Easter chick farting whilst a giant cock climbs over it and spunks spunk bubbles over said farts.

"first to see will buy Sheffield"?

I suspect that to be optimistic. I've been there and wasn't even vaguely tempted.
