Wasn't the red over silver one known as the Caberet? Vaguely remember my Dad having one on his pitch in the late 80's. It was px'd against a B reg Sierra Laser in White.

I think the Cabaret was another special edition, mainly added stripes but may have had two tones as well. I’m not a Capri expert mind, other will know @danthecapriman?

VAUXHALL ASTRA MK1 1.3S CELEBRITY 1984 JUST 2 OWNERS AND 82K FROM NEW RUNNER

1300 N (60hp) is unleaded, 1300 S (75 hp) needs leaded.  This is an S, so it's maybe detuned somehow to run well on a lower octane?

I'm sure I've seen that on this thread, I think it's being flipped

Caberet came with two tone paint & side stripes, and I think different interior trim.

Calypso were all based on the 1.6 LS and came with two tone paint.

Theres not a huge amount of difference between them really, they were just special editions to boost sales.

[adw1977]

Calypso were all two tone, Cabaret single tone.

F*cking hell, that's tempting. Might have to look into trailer hire and accidentally forget what the towing capacity of my car is.

All they did was retard the timing/tweak mixture

If I had the Kia Van, the Visa and the Panhard - well, life would be complete. It wouldn't of course, and we'll all die from war/climate change/AI soon, but what a way to go.

[egg]

Then again, the Panhard exists, but this *also* exists. If there's a better looking object on god's earth, I can't imagine it.

Fitting £300 new tyres is a bit nonsensical too, like this is going to drive again soon...
