Both of those sports cars are inflaming my ardour. Can anyone lend me £15,000 please?

We used to have a Materia. It was good but my Mrs hated it because it looked weird because of it's big smiley face.

We also live in a Little town that used to have  Daihatsu dealer and all the giffers bought these so there  must have been about 5-6 of them within a 10 mile radius,

Yes, we had the nod from the mot tester that year may be it's last without a weld fest.

You're probably asking yourselves : "Has Fraud lost the plot ? Why is he posting a £130K Facel on Autoshite ?"

Well, let's take a look at the tyres, shall we ?

Bloody Landsails !!! Surely, the owner of a £130K classic can afford £800 for a set of Blockleys ?

Never did understand the 80. Why not just get the 125?  (Especially when the more common later 80 was actually the same as a 125 with a smaller engine)

Because, back when they were current, it was a whole lot cheaper to insure than a 125, and as quick as most 4-stroke 125s, and quicker than a lot of the other sub 100cc bikes. .

Back in the 80s it was the norm to have what was called a “rider policy”, which gave the policy holder insurance coverage for any bike up to a cc limit. From memory, the bands were something like 0-100cc, 101-225cc, 226-400cc, 400-600cc and 600cc+.

I had a Yamaha RS100, and my sister had a CB100N because they were so much cheaper to insure that way. It’s why the 400cc class was so popular around the same time. My first “big” bike was a Honda VF400F in 1988, chosen because of it hitting the sweet spot of the fastest bike I could afford to both buy and afford to insure.
