Lol I thought of him as soon as I saw it 😂

I believe he's in Scotland, I'm in Sussex.... So couldn't be further apart without venturing West!

Ooh funky colour. IME £1000 is usually what nice ones go for.

I suppose so if it's clean, it looks quite scruffy though. They were £500 cars about 15 years ago which is what my thinking was when I made that comment!

It's clean-ish and a prefacelift for bonus points. Wouldn't call it 1 grand clean though. Like mine those shiny wheels will go a murky rusty colour after about a year if they've had a dealership blow over!

I'm sure you're right about the wheels. I was thinking those wheels have had Poundland silver sprayed over them, probably no prep at all!

Yep, exactly like mine then! I've been meaning to do them properly ever since.

I thought that reg looked familiar! I've had the (dis)pleasure of driving that particular car. Surprised it's still going TBH!

I thought that reg looked familiar! I had the misfortune of taking that in as a PX late last year. There wasn't much left on the clutch and it smelt like a nursing home. After using it for a couple of tip runs, I ended up selling it to a mate who was skint and desperate for wheels. When the MOT ran out, he sold it to Philip Schofield, who offered a fraction over scrap value for it. Surprised it's still going TBH!

Ah that's funny! Wonder how it ended up with another dealer, surely it would have gone through the WBAC/BCA merry-go-round monopoly and by the time a dealer pays auction fees there's no meat on the bone 🤷‍♂️

It wasn’t even a professional coupé conversion…

This just goes to emphasise how short the saloon doors look on the coupe.

Did Top Gear use this as a trial run before they did the Espace?

Subaru and Robin(small industrial engines and garden equipment) are both part of Fuji Heavy Industries I think.
