My dad owned a Carina E for fourteen years without a mechanical issue. The only thing that failed on it was a starter motor three weeks before it was traded in on a brand new 2011 Yaris, an inferior car in every regard.

So basic it even has solid paint. 

That seller always has some interesting stuff, always photographed in that same location which makes it easy to tell how many months the vehicle has remained unsold for. He also is great at cleaning cars - this has clearly had an engine bay hosedown - superficially clean but every component is still bathed in corrosion.

Hard to tell if it's had a £1 Shop rattle can re-spray  (possibly alluded to in the listing) or it's just bad polishing or bad photography. If it's as good as it might very well be though class
