It's the 2.5l 5 cylinder non turbo diesel. These engines are said to be the most reliable production diesel in the world.

 

 

 

What needs done; head gasket, which I've started to do. It is at the point the head can now come off and get skimmed. The fuel pump seals, front wings rear discs, one rear brake pipe and the ignition barrel.

i originally bought this as a project to use a rx8 running gear but have since thought twice about that after finding out how rare these things actually are and wouldn't want to ruin the opportunity of somebody bringing it back to original.

 

I do still have the Mazda rx8 if that conversion is of interest to you but at a extra small cost

Have we had this yet?  Probably, but I can't be arsed going back through the thread to find out.  Looks reasonably priced for a Panhard, even as shagged as it probably is.

This genuinely hurts to post it here, but I've exhausted all avenues of funding.  I have an interview at 2PM this afternoon that might change things - but being realistic this isn't going to be mine.

It's a proper bASe spec with a massive clock and, amusingly, the shell of where the digital clock would be in more decadently specified cars.  Black bumpers, no seat pockets etc blah.

 

I think this is a very fair price compared with the rest of the shit on the market at the moment, particularly considering the Sapphire's are more popular with the sideways crowd. 

 

Oh and it's a Pinto.
