So it is dizzle? I’m so tempted by the mega MPGs. Timing chain too non? Gerrit mapped man.

Also, DIBS

Yeah it's a timing chain and mpgs are reportedly EPIC BEANS. They live forever too. This is only on like 50k or summat.

A diesel Panda made a friend of mine never consider buying a Fiat again, or a diesel. Good luck!

My fither in law won't give me mine back as he loves it, he did bring it  back for me to mot it though then promptly took it away again,  it's a pretty nice steer too and goes very well on fumes as he never fills it very often.

I bet it's still worth what I paid for it.

Mot prep has begun. It's going straight in on arrival.

The 406 coupe will also be leaving today so I hope the Panda passes!

Reports from the flight deck are that traffic is heavy but even so, impressive gains are being achieved.

Seller said low 60s was the best achievable.

He's obviously never met @Bucketeer

Almost 70mpg so far!

What would it have soared to without traffic?!

The expected lifetime of a car probably doesn't matter when you only keep it for 5 minutes.

I still like them to enjoy a full and prolonged life after I release them back into the wild sir.

I remember seeing 62mpg on the computer of my Mondeo and feeling like an absolute king. There's something special about achieving 60+mpgs, or perhaps there isn't and I need better interests?

I would put that right out youre mind as the wee Corsa same engine snapped its chain at 70k and full service history,  thread here somewhere of my repair.       The timing chain is from the Gerald Ratners collection.

One light out, one to go. The electric power steering mustn't have liked the volts after a short lay up.

Sadly it's definitely not going to be a straight pass and the handbrake isn't up to snuff.

Handbrake trick with pandas. It sounds a bit brutal but try reversing then stopping the car as quick as possible using the handbrake alone. It seems to re-align the drums chakras somehow and might squeeze you a pass on that front. (IIRC it was an old fiatforum trick)

Only  had mine twelve years so far (from new) so I can’t tell you what they’re like.

Unless you couldn't get the dash light out that is.

We took my ECP EGR up to Kwikfit. Who were really nice.

Had a chat with the tester who said they can't fit customer parts. Only their own. And if it fails they can't change that till the BIG TECH lad is back at work in a few days time. As it was the last test slot of the day there would be no twiddle or retest time. Offered to move my test till after the weekend to aid me in changing the egr and adjusting the handbrake over the weekend which will also be a fail.

Nice helpful chat.

I didn't see the point in testing just to get known fails so it'll be popped in the lockup and tested after the weekend.
