Dad's first company car back in 89 was a blue metallic F reg Sierra Sapphire 2.0i GLS, I was so excited the day he was receiving it I got ill & had to stay home from school! That also had the little red stripe around the top of the bumper. Unfortunately it's the only one of my dad's company cars I can't quite remember the full reg of, it was something like F818 JGO, I know the letters for sure but the numbers are hazy other than pretty sure they had 1s & 8s in there. I also wish I'd somehow got pictures taken of our cars from an early age. Within the last few years I came across a picture somebody had taken of dad's 2nd company car, a 92 Honda Civic LSi saloon but only a picture of us inside the Sierra, not of the car. As far as I know there are no pictures of dad's 3rd company car a 95 Hyundai Sonata either. By the time of dad's 4th company car, a 97 Chrysler Voyager I was well into picture taking!

sadly no pictures of the sierra i dont thinktwo of the escort hatchback beforehand, im told theres one of the Legacy that my aunt took, and a fair few of the Impreza afterwardsmy dad had loads of company cars before i was bornCapri, Metro, Astra MKII, Maestro, Cortina MKI, 205, and plenty more im sure as he was a stocktaker for the best part of 25 years before i was born

Me and my brother [ he is my twin ] was brought home in my parents white datsun 120Y 4dr got wrote off after an argument with a mk2 granada. My dad replaced it with another white datsun 120Y but an estate version. That got wrote off too. No luck with datsuns it would seam. By a bmw reversing into the side as my dad drove along a main road. Brought a mk4 cortina that was apparently muti coloured shades of red. Passanger door fell off once due to rust and the local pond life use to nick it most weekend then dump it in the carpark in are street when they had finshed! My dad traded it in for a 3 year old black vauxhall chevette estate reg no OON 105X. My sister came home in this car. Don't remeber the others but remeber the chevette well. Had a twin red pinstripe and my dad fitted mk1 cavalier wheels as they were wider and fluffy type seat covers?. Looked the nuts.

Er...rather predictably i came home in a 1976 Hillman Imp Caledonian LAO 127P like this with the friggin horrible seats.

 

 

My mum hated it as it never worked and they sold it a few months later and it was dead in the early 80's according to the DVLA. Although on checking it just now it seems to have dissapeared, but swear i have looked before.

 

Not sure if the reason i got into Imps was because i was rebelling against my mum or what, but i will probably be dead before i finish my current one at the rate its going.

I think I was taken home in one of these, a blue 3-dr estate my grandad owned. I can't find any pictures of a 3-dr estate. SUPER SHITE.My dad's white Beetle with non-functioning heater was deemed a bit unhealthy to take me home in one of the worst snowstorms of the '80s.

Excellent. My Dad used to always refer to it as 'The Chrysler'

 

The seats were red tartanishness with big vinyl bits that became super heated in the summer - they'd burn the skin off your thighs in toddler shorts.

 

This Sunbeam was the car that my folks had in a garage once (say, for exhaust or somesuch) and the guy says " O, I see you had a wee bump once" to which my folks were like: "eh, no - we bought this brand new" - must've been pranged and repaired IN THE FACTORY

 

He traded it in for his 3rd and penultimate 2CV.

When I was a wee 'un, the parentals didn't have a car, so I was brought home in Grandad's green 2-door Minor 1000 (PNN 116F, I think). The Daddy's first motor came along a couple of years later and was a '67 Imp in a sort of metallic not-quite-silver colour. I think I've got a pic somewhere - bear with me...

Seems that I was brought home in a Datsun Cherry, a yellow one at that. This was replaced very shortly after for one of them Viva Estate things in Orange which itself was replaced by a brand new 'T' plate green Allegro FTW!

Brought home in a 1982 Rover 3500 Vanden Plas automatic in Moonraker Blue with Bounty Blue box velvet seats (PKY 36X, died about 12yrs ago or I'd hunt it down and restore it purely for sentiMENTAL reasons). That car is also the subject of my first ever memory, and perhaps explains my love of old BL tat.I do have a pic somewhere but can't find it, bear with me.
