Are we any closer to a delivery date?

I believe efforts are being made subject to events beyond the relevant AS member's control.

Yes, and the parties concerned are making their own arrangements.  It is not anyone else's business.

Delivery still a touchy subject I see, But it is notable that others can ask that question without garnering such defensive posts from everyone but the thread owner.

How's our favourite, little, belming mong today?  Good to see you back - contributing a rich and varied vein of content to the forum.

.. Did a 20 mile trip last weekend, including off road, on cycle tracks and coastal paths.... Do your worst, I dare you.

All good until a little girl or alike is walking along one of these paths and doesn’t notice you. I’m sure this would do much more damage to a person then a cycle would… I’d keep to the road where things of this category should be seeing as it has a “reg plate”

Or sees you and is frightened by something grotesque in a divers helmet.

I instantly thought of this scene from Back To The Future 🤣

Remarkable how many shiters there are who have decided it's their job to fill up the one thread that's about a thing they clearly have a massive boner about despite all statements to the contrary, repeat the same thing to the point of tediousness and well beyond the point at which the OP might be expected to remain ignorant of whatever point that is supposed to be conveyed, then get a sad-on when it is pointed out. It is bullying behaviour, it is blindingly obvious because literally no other thread or shiter receives anything like it either in volume or in tone; a very low level form of it but bullying none the less. Everyday Sexism, or in this case Everyday Vehicleism, mixed with some vapid concern trolling and a large amount of irrelevant 'Bantz', some of which is undeniably entertaining. Then there's the odd contributor who can start a fight in an empty room.

TL;DR if you're not got a contribution at least vaguely about the horrible blue things, please consider fucking right the fuck off you tendentious gufftraps.

I'm sure any parent of a Downs Syndrome child would find your insightful comments most amusing .Seriously, what's the point of these rants? You mostly come across to me,as a decent chap, who's had a bit of a rough time recently. But also as the weak kid who tries extra hard when there's some bullying going off,to win the approval of the bigger boys.I reckon you're better than that.

In the early 2000's, I used to do that a few times a year on Northwest DC-10s out of Minneapolis into London Gatwick.

No seatback IFE, just a single screen up front with one movie delivered from  a 3 gun CRT projector. Audio was delivered through Pneumatic Headsets with hollow tubes that plugged into a hole in the seat. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't the very best sound that you ever heard. The last movie I remember seeing on that run was 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', no idea why I remember that,

Northwest. The only airline with NO in its name.

I once had the misfortune to cross the Atlantic on a Delta 757.  That had electronic headphones but other than that the IFE was pretty similar to what you describe.  That wasn't what I was most perturbed about upon boarding though - at the time I didn't completely believe that the 757 could actually make it across the Pond without running out of fuel.  Turns out it could, although it's not an experience I'm keen to repeat.

I had something like that.

I flew from Leeds to Tenerife but we had to stop to refuel at Madeira, which was the scariest landing/takeoff I've ever had due to the airport location. Not quite what you expect on an inclusive tour holiday.

Son, it's a 440 page thread on a forum.  It's being made other people's business. Thats how a forum works. You see? It's not being hidden away. It's a fair question given the last estimated date for delivery to London was 3 weeks ago. And it's now 3 weeks since that estimate. And Guess where I am on Monday and Wednesday next week? London. Sheefag owes me money so I thought we could see the subject that has riddled this forum for years and years across multiple threads. And for the sake of clarity, I've never put the OP off owning or running this. So off you trot.

Who exactly is being bullied? The troll who comes here repeatedly being a cunt? The one who had his other sock account put on pre-mod? The same gentleman who has total and flagrant disregard for the rules of the highway?

It is fucking typical of some to jump to the defence of twunts like that.

And let’s not do the offended by proxy thing eh? I’m happy to talk about my work with Mencap if you’re interested - and I can teach you some Makaton too. #LotForCharadee.

As ever, life’s a bit more nuanced than your portrayal. A decent man can use offensive language. An offensive man can use decent language.

At the end of the day, he’s just a troll and it’s just the internet. I’ll enjoy pulling his chain and watching him go because he literally can’t help himself.

@LightBulbFun Did ministry consider a replacement after Model 70? It’s been an awful long time since they were first introduced until 2003. Or did they just fully give up and gradually switch people to Motability? Genuine interest.

nah not seriously there was the odd murmur here and there, but when the Motability scheme was introduced in 1978 it pretty much sealed the fate of the existing Invalid Vehicle Scheme

the Last Model 70's rolled off the Production line in March 1978, and the last regular folk joined the scheme on the 5th of July 1978 (although War Pensioners where offered the option of a Model 70 until 1983), after that existing users could keep using their Invalid vehicles or jump to the Motablity scheme whichever they preferred/worked best for them but no new users could join the invalid vehicle scheme

hence why they never bothered developing any sort of replacement vehicle for the Model 70, since the Motability scheme was there if the user wanted something different, and the many people still opting to stay on the Invalid Vehicle Scheme, where doing so because of the unique abilities and features their Model 70 offered and/or where just perfectly happy with it and did not want to change vehicles, so the scheme just coasted along in maintenance mode until 1998 when an end date was announced (31st March 2003) and a dedicated effort was made to migrate the last users to the Motability scheme

So a Model 70 could conceivably been over 25 years old when it was taken out of service?
