Ford Focus Mk1 1.6 LX

I've had a few callers about it but its mainly been folks messing you about, seemingly this issue with the door lock is a problem. I've scarcely got the time at the moment due to work and other stuff I've got going on.

I've been offered £130 from the breakers, for what its worth I can phone them up and its job done. Otherwise I'm fannying around trying to get thus V5 and taking time out of working etc to waste time waiting in for people.

It is a waste I'd be the first to say that but there's millions of them on the road. I've no doubt many that's better than this one, so I've gone for easier quicker option.

It's a sad fact that the lower end of the market seems to attract idiot buyers who want perfection for £200.

It is I'm afraid. I'm not unduly bothered, I've worked out its cost me £15 a month depreciation over last 2 years. Find me a PCP for that!

OK you've got repairs but not £80 a months worth.

Its got a decent fuel pump in it, which is a common phail.

Has 4 good matching tyres with 4 stud alloys on. More than welcome to come and swap them over for your worn out 4 stud steelies for £40. So long as it rolls on to the beavertail.

I have a Focus Im going to scrap if anybody on here wants any bits for this one. Free to a shiter

Would be a real shame if this was weighed in.

It's the usual story though, if I was looking for a car... But I'm not.  :-(

I'll probably regret this when they are £4,500 a pop in 10 years when the old skool ford tax scene yo moves on to these!

I'll be poverty stricken lamenting scrapping the ones I had.

I ought to fill a barn with them while I can.

You can't think like that though...

I've a roof rack for one in the loft if that's any interest to a shiter?

Jesus. I thought paying £400 for ours was cheap!

I really thought this would fly away.

Not a lot of demand apart from the lumpenproletariat on Gumtree with £14 in his pocket.

I've not really got time at the moment either for entertaining the idiots so it wasn't too arduous a choice. I'll whip the useable stuff off before scrapping it, but even the the market is flooded with cheap parts for these, eBay yields a used alternator for £15 delivered.

Found a dead battery today at the allotment, I'll stick that in and whip the recent one off. Same for the wireless and the spare. Not worth cutting the cat off. Had a recent manifold on it, could be worth having off it. Frequent Test fail on these.

The last few of these that I’ve weighed in have netted between £45-£80 a piece for the cats at EMR depending on the serial number?

Its the original as well. Fuck it I'll cut it off and hope the breaker doesn't realise.

Does the drivers side door central locking motor work?

Would be very interested if it does and not too much of a ball ache to remove.

Possibly the first thing he will look for.

Someone get this bought. An absolute peach for the money, it deserves better. I've messaged as many people as I can fathom whom might be interested or know someone. This has to live.

Given they are tight as a drum almost without exception I'd agree with you on that.

If I had literally anywhere to put this, I'd have it and at least stick in for a test and see what's what.

Yes its the 1st of May it runs out. I'm glad someone has pointed that out actually, I'd have been in the shit if I'd got stopped.

Offers then a bit less then...

MOT is until 23rd May so potentially offers a bit more time before the chop?

I would love to have this. As mentioned before, never had one or driven one.

Please roffle, you'd get more and it would be saved from the fragger too.

I have owned a MK1 that was absolutely mint. Only thing I didn't like was the seats/driving position, it was bolt upright and I hated it. Otherwise, a superb chassis and great engines and interiors. I really do regret selling it. I find gems and then inexplicably move them on at a loss.

I'd be happiest if someone came and looked at it so they knew exactly what they were getting. Applying for V5 tonight so should be here in a week.

Just texted Outlaw_Jnr about this, he's on nights so I don't expect a reply for a bit.

If you live further away than Birmingham then I'll pay you to take it away.

Bit of a mishap this morning, it felt like hard work on way to work, brakes juddering on application and off. Brakes smell and are hot. I haven't had it apart but it looks to me like the caliper is seized. I've got to work no problems but this is a problem. I wouldn't go far in it put it that way.

I'm in Essex - it's a bit of a trot..... still waiting for sleeping beauty to reply..... WILL UPDATE M9

It's pulling to the left, where Deatons and EMR are based.

Its pulling on to the beavertail next Thursday.

Deatons offered quite a bit more than Cooper's on livesey st.
