Spring has sprung

Feeling proper spring like this week, temperatures in the mid to high 20s, blossom out and some fantastic empty roads to drive. Sadly, I have to head back home tomorrow!

Yesterday I took a drive up to the shops to fetch my tickets for the Classic in July, and it would have been rude not to have taken a picture whilst there. Got back and spent the rest of the day cutting grass, with regular stops for a cold beer. Life is good....

Spring has sprung indeed and I have suffered the customary mower breakdown to prove it!

Ironed a short sleeve shirt for work today - it's official.

I am feeling slightly sorry for the removal men, but rather happier that we decided to pay people to do the heavy lifting this time around instead of doing it ourselves.

Its even sunny in wales, i would have taken the fiat out, but as i turned the key it remembered it was Italian and wouldn't start, so i took this instead.

They must like it there; regular nesters for about five or six years now. Usually two, sometimes three clutches in a season.

Just keep Colin away, yeah?

Lucky Bastards, I'm currently freezing my arse off here in the southern hemisphere as it gets steadily colder.

29c according to the Volvo, aircon needs a regas*, although I'm just about to go and rip the pollen filter out as the problem seems to be not enough air rather than the chilledness of it.

Running low on the cold beer front, so quick trip to the supermarket to restock.

Outside thermometer in town showing 32c

That will do for me! 8)

Best day eva. Man, the dark, cold, wet months have taken their toll on me. Everything is better today!

Don't feel sorry for us. Humping it out in this weather is much preferable to the last many months of cold wet coldness.

Managed to have a slightly boozy lunch by the river today (in Central London) - result.

Almost makes London bearable when it’s this nice

Fuck it... it's so nice out that I'm celebrating emergence from the darkness tonight111. I'm buying, and drinking beer tonight whilst sitting in the middle of my lawn. That's right folks, drinking on a Thursday and I don't care what frown I get from the missis.

Shitefestering Europa next year?

Saab claimed 27c today, too bloody hot for me so I'm glad the aircon still works from last year.

It's definitely Spring - got sunburnt today.   Sod's law dictated I couldn't take yesterday off for the Solent Shiter meet but I did have today off (not swappable as I work shifts and it would not have worked in our 4 day/3 off work pattern).    Anyway, had a cracking day on the Hampshire coast, rode my Pashley aimlessly round the place, scoffed fish and chips and chilled out in the campervan.   I am not really a sunworshipper but the first good day always finds me grilling in the sun like a lizard after the miserable piss-wet freezing winter which so very nearly destroys me every year......

I've seen more old chod/restored "classics" in the last 2 days than I have all winter! Dvla must be seeing a sudden surge in tax!
