Shep Shepherd Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 That would make a great first cla$$ic or rolling restoration project for someone purplebargeken 1
Bear Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 This is a truly great car - saved my sanity and my life when RealLife went absolutely to shit around me. Did Leics/Grantham/Stoke/Middlesborough/Shiremoor and back to Leics in a day without leaving my back wrecked or by the hard shoulder. It also left one of our fellow journalists a bit confused when he was following it to McDonalds, as his SEAT had to be worked hard to keep up! Six-cylinder Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 7 seater or 5 ? 5 seater, so it has useful storage locker beneath the boot floor.
eddyramrod Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 You had me right up to the word "grey." Somebody's going to get a damn good car there.
Six-cylinder Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 You had me right up to the word "grey." Somebody's going to get a damn good car there. How about gray! or I could change it to charcoal! Nearly black met! The Moog 1
stephen01 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I'm pissed off with myself for buying my accord, the stupid thing is just doing everything I want and can't justify changing it. I must own of if these got a couple of months at one point and this looks awesome for the money
BorniteIdentity Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I'm pissed off with myself for buying my accord, the stupid thing is just doing everything I want and can't justify changing it. I must own of if these got a couple of months at one point and this looks awesome for the moneyGet used to it. I bought my Avensis in 2003 for £850 because the newer car I had was falling apart. I wanted to keep it for 18 months. 5 years later and, with 223,000 miles, it’s now got 13 months MOT on it. This year it’s had 8 litres of oil, 4 plugs, an air filter and a bulb. It’s reliability has stopped me buying many, many cars - this one included! GLWS 6C - this looks proper bo. Angrydicky 1
purplebargeken Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 S'not a real Volvo unless it's got droopy headlining. Does it possess droopy headlining Mister?
Ghosty Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 The facelift ones have a papery headlining less prone to droop. Bargain for £395. Sent from my Moto G (5S) using Tapatalk

purplebargeken Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Ahhh, balance has been reestablished in the universe again. All is well.
mitsisigma01 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 My mitsi sigma has the optional extra of the bedohuin tent rooflining. Does anyone know where to get spiral shafted pins/buttons to convert it to a chesterfield sofa type effect or what sort of material does it need to be to prevent the sandstorm effect caused by driving with the windows open ???
danthecapriman Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 My mitsi sigma has the optional extra of the bedohuin tent rooflining. Does anyone know where to get spiral shafted pins/buttons to convert it to a chesterfield sofa type effect or what sort of material does it need to be to prevent the sandstorm effect caused by driving with the windows open ???My old saloon ovloV had the droopy headlining, I just shoved drawing pins in it to hold it up and give it the luxury* buttoned look. Trouble was they’d work loose over time and drop out onto the seats which you then sat on!As a compromise I dipped the pins tips in some pva then shoved them back into the headlining. Problem solved!

holbeck Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Is this a one off, or does it herald the start of a fleet cull at 6C towers?
Six-cylinder Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 Is this a one off, or does it herald the start of a fleet cull at 6C towers? If you went to a petrol station to fill your car and brimmed it, the pump clicked off several times, the fuel gauge said full and you had no more money would you keep buying fuel! mat_the_cat, barefoot, holbeck and 1 other 4
Six-cylinder Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 I should have said the car is near Buckingham MK18. Collection from local stations or coaches Milton Keynes/Bicester/Aylesbury/? is avaiable
