I stayed up to watch the supermoon lunar eclipse.

It was good.

Swmbo woke me up being all excited about that, it was lovely to watch though. I can fully understand how people thousands of years ago shit themselves whenever something like it happened and thought the worls was gonna end, it was a bit freaky!

Two weeks off work, catching up on this is England90 and there are some top motors. Plus it's a outrageously good show in my eyes.

I've been struggling with this series, there is far too much mood music and long periods of arty slo-mo to camera.

I'm a bit annoyed as the others have all been excellent.

I had a look out early at about 0230 was total fog and still is :-(

This is England 90. I can't decide about this series. I find them hard to watch (in an emotional sense)... I like the series and the characters so I feel compelled to watch but feel sick and dwell on the story after the prog has finished.

Last night's was more like it. I was really disappointed by ep1, it was like he didn't have any ideas so went with use the c-word and f-word at least twice per sentence and introduce some stupid overplayed "comedy" characters to disguise the lack of anything else.

I don't "get" Higgy and Whathisname, and think they were close to spoiling the whole thing. Its like an injection of the chuckle brothers.

Car parts in the post! Something warm and fuzzy about receiving £30 worth of droplinks and balljoints and the hope that it fixes the clunking noise!

Post for our office gets held at the sorting office because we usually have 8 bags, that gets collected at 8.01am, as apparently being collected at 7.30 will cost thousands of pounds more...

It's also why I get everything I buy sent to work as any signed for stuff gets de-facto signed for! I always know when the postroom guy is getting the post as the automated email comes through about 20 mins before it lands on my desk!

At home I've got home from work at 4.30 and seen the postperson still on their rounds...

This took a bit of planning with my sleep deprived brain whilst driving my OH's car but I managed it:

Just had the V5 through for the Bentley (I love saying that... the Bentley, the Bentley...!) and contrary to what I was told (it's had dozens of owners...) it's actually had just five! Over 24 years that's not bad.

Also, just called the AA in the hope they'd come and look at the BENTLEY and then I can play the poor old cripple routine and get them to take it to Specialist Cars. I didn't hold out much hope...

Just rang them and they are on their way to have a look so part one of my 'cunning plan' is underway!

As someone who lives in Hull, it's fun when a moron makes us go viral. :D

Having said that, the guy who filmed it, thinks chemtrails are real. So, it's a lose-lose for me today.

Apparently Ronnie Pickering went to the Dave Lister High School in Hull.

That can't be real?

David Lister was a real school.

I was just showing mrs fp this Road rage tool and came across this i nearly fell off the sofa laughing

So who was the David Lister the school was named after?

I don't know

Just watching danger mouse. I prefer the original theme tune though.

As I'm sure you're all aware, many car marques and models are named after females, Mercedes, Elise, Guilietta etc...

I met a German girl on Saturday as part of the new university intake for 1 of the sports teams that I help out on, and thanks to a careful bit of facebook stalking I've just found another...

Her name is Caro...

I can only presume that it's short for Caroline or something, so I shall make further enquiries.

This afternoon, I scared the living shit out of some poor bloke in the car park at the big Tesco in Hednesford by giving a thumbs-up at his car and shouting "THREE OH FIVE!"

He's had it from nearly new and was very surprised that anyone else recognised it.  He is in need of parts so I have pointed him toward this electronic parish.

Not sure if it's a grin or not yet but I got rung at about 1700 tonight from a mobile buy a guy asking a out an Ambulance driver job I applied for the other week.

He seemed a bit vague but wants to come to my house on Wednesday for an interview*.

I'm thinking this is a scam but will see. Out his mobile in Google and got a hit for a private care company that does supply patient transport ambulances. Not the actual ambulance service is it..

Just watched 'Car Strippers' - the episode with the MX5 and the MGB GT. Mrs PBK pipes up about the MGB GT ....... 'That's nice, I'd drive that every day'.

Who are you and what have you done with the real Mrs. PBK??

Does this now mean I have to buy an MGB GT?

Meet him somewhere else for the interview - potential job or not, like fuck would I be having some random turn up and interview me in my own home.

His office or somewhere neutral.
