What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

After faffing about changing fuel lines, priming bulbs, filter seals, cracking injectors off etc etc to pugs starting issue was a set off glow plugs as she fired up first thing this morn.

That qualifies me to become a proper* mechanic, as I would change loads of stuff before I fixed the simple problem.

I cleaned it as a reward.

WINNER!

It doesn't half make a difference, too. Mine starts up pretty handy in warm weather and even in the cold and full of veg it is pretty good at starting, whereab before even with diesel in it, it was a right bastard to fire up.

Even better, he reportedly saw that it was a photo but thought he'd risk it.....

The 19-year-old student, of Bilborough, had saved up in order to buy a limited edition Day One version of the console as a surprise Christmas present for his four-year-old son, McKenzie.

Wow, that must make him Britain's oldest father. I bet his parents were worried already what with not making them grandparents for so long.

Being dragged to visit one of my mum's aging friends in Warrington.

Because I got a pub lunch, bottle of wine, £30 and spent the afternoon watching the snooker.

And the best bit - riding around in this for a bit:

Full of car park dents/scratches, red bumper stripe in all the wrong places, original dealer sticker, plates, tax disc holder, and bonus Peugeot security stickers. I don't fit in the back, but even so it's more comfortable than the back of my mum's Polo...

That Nottingham young father actually makes me furious.  eBay should not have refunded him, they should have told him to GTF as the listing clearly stated it was a photograph.  He must have bought it for his 4 year old just like the Scalextric set my Dad bought for my brother and I to enjoy when we were a bit older.  I distinctly remember not being allowed to play with it in case I broke it.  OMGCHILDHOODTRAUMA

I don't know what you're moaning about, the only time my dad showed me any affection was when he gave me a toaster to play with in the bath.

They could have at least send him a decent picture

Apparently the seller listed it in the Electronics category, which is the only reason they refunded - had it been in memorabilia or something it'd be fine. Same thing happened PS3 launch day, some turd on eBay bought "PS3 original box and receipt" for £500 but was dismayed when a box and receipt were delivered.

And no, a 4 year old does not need an Xbox One.

I'll upload the rest of this brochure at some point but this is a good starting point I think; we've been looking at new tour coaches for next year. This is taken from the brochure of the latest entry from China, the Yutong ZK6129HI / ZK6129HY.

Needless to say they've not done any UK brochures yet, so this one came to us all the way from Israel...

You know the worse thing about that cretin buying that picture then getting give a games console? It'll just encourage other knobheads to do the same.

Somewhere - needta look for it - I have the manual for the BMC 850 Club. It is equally dire, but amazingly not as dire as the actual bus was.

11 days to go in my current job before I take Christmas off then join the railway.

Fucking brilliant innit? Some twat buys a pic of an XBoX for 400 notes, cries to a paper who blasts his story all over the paper, he gets his £400 back and then gets GIVEN a fucking XboX for free. Fuck off CeX.

I work my fucking back off to save money that seems to get eaten and I cant afford to buy a second-hand phone that i promised to buy (when I had a better paid job, that I lost through no fault of my own)

I want out man. Seriously.

Oh, sorry - This should be in the grump thread.

I think there's more to that story than meets the eye. It wouldn't surprise me if he was in league with the eBayer who is supposed to have scammed him.

His son is called McKenzie Clatworthy... Are we sure this isn't just a spoof story?  McKenzie Clatworthy.  Might as well have called the poor little sod Sue.

Yeah, Clatworthy alright. The 'teen' deserves a fucking 'clat' to his 'worthy'.

Seeing as fucking CeX are so bloody "generous" this Christmas, shall I pop into one of their stores and bore them with my life story and see if I can bag myself a fucking Samsung phone or whatever for free?

Seriously, the wrong people are being allowed to reproduce.

And society rewards stupidity. Brilliant.

Right, that's it, I'm going to torch that news outlet.

Both councils said grass is cut purely for safety reasons, not to make the surrounding area look nice.

Imagine the grass grows too high and one of the haulms snaps in one of those horrific hurricanes like we had last week and falls on your house.

All your kittens and nuns will be killed on the spot!

I tell you what else makes me grin... the comments section of that grass story. It's almost actually is actually better than here.
