OK, let me try NOT to offend with this one - no point spending the weekend feeling like I just cubed a Trevi or such like.

Staying with silly street names for a moment:

Alas poor Cuore, etc. Probably the only thing I've owned which couldn't be considered full-on shite. Should be saying goodbye to it next week if it all goes to plan. Then I'll probably just waste it all on pointlessly importing one of these special Carina Vans:

FRIDGE VAN. Amazing.

Sod that, must be 54p for them  Tomorrow is 'proper' test drive day, my usual route of motorway and back lanes.Have to say it actually handled (to some degree) after I changed the tyre pressures from 14, 32, 12 and 24psi to 28psi alround!Seat covers can go in my Transit and vile blue spray will be removed on interior plastics. Then will be used until fuel gets low and fucked off to someone with more money than sense!*Daren't tell anyone I actually quite like the car as I'm at risk of a lifetime ban on here

LOL, was just gonna mention that....don't worry, we won't hold it against you Cavette

With it now being December, let us recall what I found to be the most amusing Christmas story of 2008 - Lapland New Forest! If you don't recall it, it was basically a really dreadful festive "theme park" type thing where a lot of people paid up front and essentially ended up going to a muddy field with some fairy lights and burger vans on it. And you had to pay to actually go on rides and the likes once you got in.

As I'm not a big fan of pre-arranged Christmas events, I found it pretty funny really. I think I just like the idea of kids being upset, I'm a bit meanspirited like that. The conclusion was that Santa and his elves were involved in some punchups with the punters, Trading Standards got involved, then it closed down and went into liquidation. Hope there's some equivalent for this year!

So do I! I'm also that sort of mean spirited type, probably because if such a place had existed when I was young, there would have been kids who would have boasted that their parents were taking them there and gloated that I wouldn't have been going - then it would have come out on the news that they'd been had! Ha effing ha ha!!!!!

Schadenfreude is something I've understood for a long time...

Apparently the two owners of that park were in court today charged with misleading the public or similar. Both pleaded not guilty, of course.

I did have a bit of a lolocopter moment when that was on the news. Wasn't there pictures of trees with one shitty bit of tinsel nailed to them, a bit of plyboard with 'Santa's grotto' handwritten in paint and hordes of whining bints telling us how poor old Chesney/Duane/Kiaron/Chelsea/Rohypnol were crying all Christmas because their parents are fucking morons?

What makes me smile is that when this forum doesn't quite load up properly, it goes BROWN AND BEIGE! Winning combo.

You have to wonder what those people who booked tickets to 'Lapland' thought it would be?A living Coke christmas advert maybe? A journey into the Lion, The witch and the wardrobe? No, its Britain, and it doesnt snow til after Christmas. Also, those children who were told they were going to 'Lapland' and merely travelled by car to it, are going to have a really warped sense of Geography when they look at the Northern part of Norway on the map for the first time......

'Camelot'. But with less cheer and more vom. Also, WMMGT? Frisky Dingo. Scattershot and politically incorrect, but I haven't laughed my arse off quite as much since Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.

It regularly snows here in November, and rarely in October. We are a bit closer to Lapland than the New Forest mind you.
