I've spotted it already! The old ropey bus. I had much fun with that

My Lounge / Hallway, dining room laminate is falling apart, after 19 years of abuse.

The Cat has taken to pissing on it by the back door where it's worst.

Mind you the dog is on heart tablets and he pisses in his sleep now, all over the kitchen floor.

Both are very old. I think I'll wait until they expire and replace all the floors downstairs.

Both my mums cats got incontinent during their last years, and parents said they would replace the carpet when they finally went.

5 years later and it's still down, a few shampoo's, lots of bicarbonate of soda and me running interesting and powerful hoovers over it now and again has got rid of the smell!

Still needs replacing though, stepdad said it was old carpet when he moved in in 1983, it'll cost them a bloody fortune though as it's right the way through the lounge diner, up the hall stairs and landing. And the floor underneath is quite fucked...

It's genuinely great.

I am debating taking it to a local hand-job establishment and seeing how much it would cost to get rid of the mould :D

I had to google that. It's nothing like it!

This Proton Mpi is going to be banger raced, because the owner can't sell it. For £275. It looks lovely for that price!

It makes me very sad.

Bollocks.

Mrs L1 seems to be alright at least. Overcorrected for a 20mph slide.

Sorry to see that chap! Glad the boss is OK!

Having had mine out in a howling rainy gale in Aberdeenshire today, it has to be said that the can be a touch lively. Bit of a difference from the Alfa 156.

VAG PRODUCT SO RELIABLE WELL BUILT.

I have had things fail on them that haven't failed on any other vehicle, including supposedly badly made French cars. Tonight: the dim/dip beam switch on the SEAT.

The trim rattles like a bastard in my Leon. My supposed shit, crap and poorly built C4 didn't do that.....

Ditchfinders ?

They weren't great in the wet, but I suspect there may have been a little bit of slightly-too-fast-in, brake-into-the-corner, and slow (not) out.  First time out in the wet in a RWD car..  A shame she's had impact and not just a scare that might have demonstrated what I've been trying to explain about thinking about what the weight of the car is doing without knocking her confidence.

Lesson learnt from my perspective - don't put off getting good tyres.  She's also said she had the 405 understeering and I thought that was pretty grippy with crisp turn in, so that will be getting a full set when Scary's sorted the exhaust, thermostat and oil breather issues.

Fingers crossed for the MGF roffle!

I see I need to refresh/update my 'casual putdowns'...

No, I got it from him looking like this! I swapped it for my laguna just before he disappeared from the forum. I was going to use it for its last week of test just to run stuff to the weighbridge in but it's a nice old bus to drive so I welded up the sills and stuck a MoT on it. It's been the general runabout and garage discourtesy car since.

It was a decent enough car to me, Graham stuck a 2.0 in it last I knew but I run it all over the country and took it off roading unintentionally!

Please can we have your own collection thread as they are ace and we need to be able to find them when people say 'too far'

Rain after a few dry weeks is always the best* time to crash. All that rubber and diesel has been laid down by thousands of passing vehicles and the first shower lifts the muck and turns it into a skate rink without yet having had enough water to wash the crud off the road.

Piazza managed 35mpg last night.

Went and met the former regional head of Isuzu of America with IPTOC's technical contact.
Such interest.
