After replacing one front wheel bearing and buying the other I'm hoping my wheel bearing type noise has been cured by adding 1/2 a litre of oil to the diff.....

Unsuccessful - if anything bearing noise is more pronounced now diff whine is gone.

Looks like replacing a perfectly smooth, play free bearing is this weekends job.

That's a possibility I hadn't thought of will try swapping the fronts over and see if it changes side.

It goes away on harder cornering.

It's wierd, it's loud enough to notice but not got any worse over a couple of 1000 miles and the mk2 transits have a reputation for the bearings not lasting long once they start to get noisy.

The owner of this ZS bought it of a friend recently for £400, new head and gasket, 68000 miles, 1 owner and mint condition, bargain!.

This X1/9 belonged to a rather attractive young lady, she's had it for years as it was her first car and it's only done 28500 miles. It was lovely!

I wasn't convinced by the massively overwrith wheels on this, apparently it passed the not ok though.

Nice selection. If anyone wants one of those Corolla 3-door hatches, head to Shoreham-on-Sea. Saw zillions of the buggers there yesterday.

The lockup I keep my Cadillac in is about a mile or so away from the garage that's going to take it in for an MOT.

I drive down in the Juke and go for a nice shore side walk to go and get the Cadillac and bring it back. I'm about half way there looking out to sea, listening to THE DOLLOP pod cast when I hear the word key and think.

Key

Key for the Cadillac

Key for the Cadillac, which is in the Juke. Fuck.

I guess I do need the exercise.

The guy I rent my lockup off has this quite smart 323. He got it a couple of years ago and put new arches and an outer sill on it and I think he's sold it and bought it back a couple of times.

He took it in for it's MOT this year. Needs some welding. It's the same both sides.

It's off to fragzville

This went through my local house clearance auction today.  The auctioneer tried to start at £ 300, but the room was dead, he ended up going down to £100, In that fleeting second I had an involuntary hand raising episode. Luckily for me, someone else came in and won it for Â£220.

The gooner didn't like the a628 back across the pennines, kept holding a high gear/changing up for no reason.

At worksop having coffee, it should be ok on the a1 to get back to dads

My new log cabin garage kit arrived this morning!

I've got bricks and mortar for the base ready to go, foundation already there ready to go. So guess what I'll be doing this weekend...

Not particularly looking forward to building it tbh but I can't wait to get it up and be able to use it. It'll be a perfect home for the Capri.

I'll get some pics up over the next few days, it's a nice looking building.

Having bought the Rover 75 unseen from eBay last month I have now given it a thorough going over...

Looking good. Good service history and signs of a caring owner. Matching tyres, recent service including the cam belts, water pump etc and brake pads and discs. Downside was a badly scratched windscreen due to a damaged wiper blade, but a new screen now fitted on insurance. £60 excess. Nice.

Only 172 Kia Shuma SX on the road. Need to get mine back on the road, its just finding the money to get the work done on it  :-(

Windermere Station, Booths store/bus station.

Earlier this afternoon, coming out of that carpark - confronted by a very toothless M5 (guess) which had punched straight thru the slate perimeter wall [straight across roundabout I guess] + 15yards! Airbag deployed and very shook up octogenarian fogey sitting in ambulance ...

The Cadillac doesn't show on the mot history website for some reason. I didn't have time to call to find out if it passed, I can see a bit of paper under the sun visor but he didn't leave the keys in my lockup. MOT STATUS UNKNOWN.

Actually it looks like bit's of paper under the visor, which indicates a fail. aargh.

How good did that feel?

Only thing better would be to get video footage of the grabber going through its ungrateful fucking roof

There's some hoover porn somewhere for beko's benefit but the photos don't show it - some Hoover bagless thing I bought for a quid on eBay to deal with the hugely dusty floor

Absolutely fucking knackered - full van load (LWB Trafic) and more there plus I've taken a van load to the tip today

There's still more! :(

Fusion handed over to my local mech for oil/filter and new plugs.

Hoping the plugs might solve it's stammer/hesitation (and it's not core plugs or leaking water jets as suggested before by Kiltox and twosmoke). We'll see on a 90 mile round trip to Dartford tomorrow.

In true old Ford style, there's other issues of course - he's spotted a driveshaft oil seal leak and the PAS pump is a little damp(?)
