Saabnut and i went a run up north today to sort through some shite. That bit went well. The bit where i try to get pics from my phone to my ipad so they are right way up and more than one at a time are proving more tricky. Anyhow, for a bit of fun what are the below bits, some i know, some i dont and some i have an idea off. There are more pics, but i am out of mojo for now.....

Door skin looks Sierra, and the other door looks mk5 Escort 3 door, grille mk2 Cavalier

Posted

The third one done looks like a Triumph 2000 backwing and

Pic 5 body kit looks like BMW E28 5 series

White BMW stuff os GRP replica E30 M Tech 1.

Triumph 2000 rear wing.

Escort 4/5 door

Posted

First pic I am thinking Nissan Estate of some sort.

Rear wing definitely Triumph 2000 as suggested by The Reverend and Anglevan

That grill - I actually thought Cav or Skoda 130

Posted

I thought cavalier too but was too ashamed to admit any knowledge of GM products.

Yep. All as we thought. Only the other body kit to be identified in this batch..

Grilles - I think I see Vauxhall Viva, Mk 1 Escort, early Hillman Hunter, something Rovery, early midget, possibly early Capri and Ford Anglia

Posted

Mk2 Consul grille between the Hunters.  Post-1967 ADO16 grille surround above the HC Viva.

Somewhere there will be a man who wants a roof skin for a Peugeot 504 saloon with sunroof . I hope he is on here, because here is one. :)

The Spectra Premium website doesn't like either of the numbers stamped on the tank.

Wasn't just me then!

I seem to remember last time these grilles were put in an identity parade that the surrounds at the top were thought to be Mercedes Stroke8 and Farina Magnette.

It's threads like this with quick knowledgable replies that make this place unique

And when you get at least 20% of identifications like this right, you know you're in the right place :) :)

Have these been up before then? Apologies. :) There is renault 4 one there too.

Some more snaps, one especially for our hendry.

Spectra seem to prefix their fuel tanks with letters depending on the manufactuer, so there's GMxxx for General Motors stuff, and F seems to be for Ford.
However F62 is listed as a Fairline....

Calendars: That's Judith, Sandra, Marjorie, erm.... mum? Is that you?

Vauxhall wheel trim will be off a Nova 'Club'

Posted

Grille underneath the Magnette looks like Ford Prefect 105e.

Posted

The winged W trims are 1950s Wolseley items.

Both Peugot wheeltrim and centre cap are for 405s.

The thing below it is an Austin wheel centre but no idea what from.

The BL wheel centre is from a Princess.

The five metal trims in the last picture are Elf/Hornet/Mini trims.

It's either A30/35/40 Farina or A55 MK2, can't tell which from that angle. The A30 type one is smaller and more domed while the Cambridge one is bigger and flatter.

The wheel centre cover that Ghosty identified as being from a Pug 405 I had tagged as from a mk1 Citroen CX. Is it possible that it was used on both?
