Fleet update:

 

Jim H popped down with his dad and picked up the FR-V this morning.  Absolute pleasure to deal with.  

 

With that gone I've taxed and insured the Partner again now it's working*

 

I still have a few things to sort out on it.

How’s the Partner performing now that it’s *working? Plotting for when I inevitably swap for something with a 2.0 HDI….

Eleven seconds, but spinning the wheels in first, second AND third.  

 

I need to get some decent tyres on it, at the moment it has insaturbos on (and it's wet)

Also,

the airbag needs reseating (driver's airbag open circuit since I swapped the Com2000 unit for an ebay one to free up the one which was working fine but belongs to another car) so airbag light showing

the ABS is not communicating with the ECU (but lexia talks to it just fine) so STOP, EML and brake warning lights showing

The BSI is out of a berlingo (so requires Lexia not Peugeot Planet) - need to source a Peugeot one

I haven't enabled the cruise stalk

I need to upgrade to the two line centre display from a high spec 206 to be able to see the content of it.

 

 

And after sitting for six months, it seems to need a wheelbearing.

All of the above still applies, so I've just done the obvious thing and sold the CR-V

Put some wheels and tyres on it.

Much better, and now the back wheels aren't sticking out the sides and the front wheels don't sit too far under the arches, because they're the right offset and it no longer has spacers on the back.

I've had this 106 before but only for a couple of days before someone else needed it more than I.  Now it's being useful as a backup car.

However those particular wheels seem to benefit almost anything they get bolted to. Such a classic design.

Was it you or @Lacquer Peelthat was there at U Pull It when there was a 306 1.9D with them on and someone working there claimed they were worth more than they were selling the car for?
