Why do we not get car adverts like this here?

Along with the more infamous 'Bugger' advert, Toyota's New Zealand publicity department also ran this advert:

Makes all our adverts seem rather dull - "Out of the way, Sheep Shagger!"

Because heavens above it might cause someone offence.

^^^ except for Christians, true Conservatives (about 4 left in the Tory party), and patriots.

You aren't even allowed to reference a car's performance in case it encourages speeding

Damn those fat feminists spoiling our fun.

Not a car advert but one lot of adverts that made me laugh were for a yoghurt where a chap and his missus go on holiday but as the missus tucks into a yoghurt the chap ends up face to face with a male air steward who happens to be gay. The first ad was set on a plan and refers to a 'mile high club' situation and the next was at a hotel where he gets locked out of a hotel room bollock naked and the air steward walks past. Clever and funny but i think some'Mary Whitehouse' type complained.

Think one of them was banned but i loved the Peter Kay John smiths adverts.

Or  it might cause someone to develop a sense of humour. (Rather than spending their time actively looking for things to be offended by?).

I blame the EU*. Most of our adverts seem to be badly-dubbed European ones.

*I don't blame the EU. Overtly sexual/potentially offensive adverts shouldn't be shown on normal telly - bring back Clive James.

There has been some good watchable Tv advertising done here.

Another Toyota over a cliff one. Done a few years earlier.
