Mmm star cunts!
my mate posted this to me the other day, why use a 1300 Viva for a stunt car?!

surely there are better!

I once went to a 'Monster Truck' show at the old Ashbyville ground at Scunthorpe. Warm up was a lad on a BMX and two Vivas driving up ramps and going on 2 wheels (I may have some grainy pics). Truck was rubbish as all it did was drive over a MK1 Cav and an Escort, then stalled halfway over an Imp and a Princess. End of show. Not very good really. There were complaints in the local paper about it.

Let's have a couple of Yanks.

£1,500 seems quite good value on a pound-per-lb basis, no?

What a beauty! I wonder what this will go for.

Realistically priced, in a way Raymanboy seems unable to understand. 2.2-litre turbo puts out, from memory, either 146bhp or 174bhp, both of which sound plenty for a K-Car chassis.

Ideal for matt-blacking and impersonating the KLF. Was it them who did that Dr. Who song? Something to do with Bill Drummond anyway.

Presumably an ex-USAF serviceman's car?

Let's finish up with a supercharged V6 Thunderbird, always liked this shape. I read in one of those US car industry books (Comeback? The Reckoning? One of them) that the project team who created this got a massive bollocking from Ford chairman Don Petersen because the car was overweight and overbudget, despite being miles better than the domestic competition. No bonuses for them!

An utterly dreadful bodykit, I've had the misfortune of seeing it for real. You can get them for other cars too.Once saw a white Fiesta done up with it, looked like a huge blob of chewing gum.

£1500 secures this LHD Thema Estate, with a beige alcantara interior. What a winner-mobile!

I like that rather a lot.

"Yeah, I've got a blind date, I'm meeting him tonight. Said he'll meet me in the car park, I've to look out for a silver hatchback. Yeah, with a car like that he must be a pretty sensible guy!"

"Last night was a nightmare, he turned up in this weird old banger - what a complete weirdo! Anyway, I've got another date. Yeah, I'm going to meet them in the car park again. Black executive saloon apparently! I bet he's loaded."

"I don't even want to talk about last night! He was such a boring loser, I couldn't wait to leave. Still, this new guy I'm meeting sounds really flash. He's got a yellow convertible! I can't wait."

I never knew the Thema came in Estate flavour. Learn something new everyday :D That Morris would have had a canvas roof in service so like many that saw civvy work, it gained a 'coachbuilt' cab, love the way they just basically built a shed on it though. It did the job. Can't fault em. :)

Think the Morris is a regular attender at the Grange over Sands classic vehicle show every August. If memory serves it was used in the TV show 'born and bred'.

Always fancied one of these too,we had a Dedra 1.6 for nearly 3 years, which cost me £60 from Ebay. minter, and only ever needed a back box.Sold it to the Father in Law,who put nearly 40,000 miles on it without even an oil change! I'd be very tempted by a diesel estate or an Integrale.
