1977 Chevrolet Caprice

I'd love to remove a bit of the rubbish on this and drive around pretending to be a real New York cab driver! HONK HONK "Hey watch it buddy!" HOOOONK "Get outta the road lady!" HONK HONK HONK "Learn how to drive!" HONK HOOONK "Move it!" etc. Then I'd knock over a load of cardboard boxes, crates of icy fish and the likes and send people in white aprons running like mad.

1982 Opel Senator 3.0 E 4WD

What the! Have a look at that, very interesting. Converted to 4WD by some place called FF Developments.

Blimey, that's rare, even more so in "civilian" spec. Probably a one-off. FF did the 4WD conversion on the Bedford CF as well, if I'm not mistaken.

And the four wheel drive rally Capris too. Oh, and weren't there some MkIV Zodiacs or something too?

Weird Spec.1700 TurGiD - Turbo, optional extra, ABS, optional extra, but has keep fit rear windows, zero sound deadening, no PAS, poverty spec thin as you like seating. Yet for the cost of the options he (the first owner) could probably have bought a TZD and got all that and more. Very odd.

Given most X5 drivers, you could do that in a clapped-out mark2 Fiesta Popular Plus.

A semi-official conversion job on these things I believe. FF was Ferguson, as in the Jensen FF, same system.

Theres one of these at the RAF museum at Cosford. Its military spec and painted in matt green cammo paint. Also armour plated too I believe.

I reckon its cos he's asking a grand for it, even though its been off the road for years with a cracked cylinder head. It would need to be about 1/3 of that value before my wallet would start vibrating.

Ring him up and offer him £50, might work.

WANT! Anyone fancy dropping him my email address? Can't really be bothered to sign up but I'm in the mood for an auto with a good heater, and I love variomatics... (and I'm passing through Haverhill tomorrow!)

EDIT - found out I've already signed up to that forum, presumably when I had my old 740. PMd. Oh dear...
