Reading the 'questions from other sellers' bit, I think he's just trying to be ironic, although it's a bit lost on some people & I can understand that frankly...

This car is a real show stopper and head turner so if you are the lucky person to win the auction you will not be dissopointed at the attention you get in it.

maybe not but I'm 'dissopointed' in your spelling

NOT C20XE, C20LET ETC. Interior’s a bit in your face, but if the lower half of the body, inner wings and front cross member check out (and the stick on tat’s binned) this looks to be a potentially nice diesel shiter for someone... Though only if the reserve's not daft.

That brings back memorys, I had a Nova 1.2 SX many years ago, It was one of the last run out models, That black one must of been one of the very last being on a L plate.

Didn't like mine much though, even after all the work i put in respraying it.

Crap handling and everytime you turned the steering wheel you could feel the uj against your clutch leg.

Here's mine era 2000 time.

Offset position of the steering wheel on RHD models is my biggest gripe.

They certainly can roll a bit - lower spec models got the same rear beam as the sportier ones, but without the brace that runs through it. Adding it and the accompanying thicker front anti roll bar improves matters no end. As does replacing knackered bushes. And very slight lowering. I’ll get my coat

PS. haven't taken it for a test so don't know what it will need.(yes the seller really says that)

Well I can think of a few things

I had a 1.0 Swing as my first car. Of course being a first car it is the fastest and best handling car of evAr, although when I attempted a handbrake turn on a tight bend I crashed straight into the embankment

It also had a tailgate with a loose catch, hence it would open itself at random intervals. Lasted 6 weeks before I drove into the back of a 4x4 driven by a rather large and angry gentlemen. Most annoying thing is that I took a load of photos (this being before I could afford a digital one) then my Mum double exposed them so I have only one ghostly picture of it

Ah memories. I had a 1988 pov-spec 1.0 as my first car. Wrote it off 2 weeks after passing my test...

Yes the offset steering wheel is really awkward. This had nothing to do with me crashing though!

I should of know about the crap handling and dodgy steering as it was my second Nova, My fist car was also a 1.2 Swing, In Brown, Class. 8)

It also hid the rust quite well as well.

Hi recently my grandfather passed away and left his old Escort 1300 popular to me. He bought it new and it is in excellent condition having only 18500 miles on the clock, and has garaged for about 10 years

Wow, Wish my grandad left something like that, It's lovely, You know that it will be stripped for a rally car though.

Should be a law against it, Mint 2 door Escort getting chopped.

You'd have thought that given they obviously know it will sell for a good amount that they could have made the effort to push it out of the garage and get some decent pictures of it.
