Saw a MR2 kit car 355 on Bangers and Cash the other week. TBF it looked pretty good but sounded crap. Even if it sounded decent , you would still know that you’re driving an ancient MR2 not a Ferrari. Frankly I’d be embarrassed and would rather drive an old MR2. Oh that and the fact he wanted £15k for it.

^ Lemon Yellow

I've just bought a tiny tiny one of those, 1/87 scale to be precise, for my model railway.

It came in a bundle of four Škodas. I was after the Favorit obviously, the other three are a bit modern for my railway but it's my railway so I can do what I want. I'm not one of these people that every detail has to be right, rivet counters as they're known.

Also included were a nice dark blue mk1 Superb.

A silver mk1 Octy

Bit dull, that one but you used to see loads of them around.

And of course, the Favorit.

It's older than the others, I mean the model itself obviously so it's bare plastic. If I thought I could get it apart without breaking it I'd repaint it to look like mine but I'm not brave enough to try yet.

Looks gorgeous! I've got a pair of 1/87 ones, laser (or dynamic) blue and whatever the silver was called (see Shite in Miniature II). Oh, and a 1/43 estate in Corrida Red which is going on my "diorama" which is the posh name I'm giving my second project since it won't feature any form of railway, just houses and shops... and some nice 90s/00s tat like the stuff I grew up around.

This was lovely, more beige than yellow in the metal, like that BL sandglow colour.

#ukraine - ish.

This is the last Morgan Plus 8 ever made, I parked it (the right way up) in a rape seed field, and was bitten by the farmers dog. Worth it though.

Messrs. Rolls and Royce must be spinning like tops in their respective graves

That's subtle in comparison to many modern Rollers. You should see some of the "interesting" shades that get send abroad.

You'd never believe how popular bright orange leather interior trim is, too.

They definitely didn't plan on anyone ordering it without tints. What a mess.

Was the design brief for that thing to take an FX4 black cab and straighten out all the curves?

Bit of a controversial choice for this thread, but I love brown. This is one of my favourite pics from when we blagged a Jag and fannied around the Alps a few years ago. I love that brown!

Sable brown looks great on the series 1 Jag. Sir William Lyons chose it for his own car.

It is no secret that I love brown cars, especially Roman Bronze.

Worst colour I’ve ever seen for an Aston Martin. I know silver is a cliche, but it just looks right.

My dad had a Roman bronze cortina (mk III). It was the 70s and due to strikes there was a shortage of new cars. One dealer had the car he wanted (2.0XL), but when he was told what colour it was , he said he didn’t want a brown car. The salesman , persuaded him it looked really good on the car as opposed to in the brochure, so we went to see it.  He was right especially the glittering bits in the sun ( we’d never had a metallic colour before), and my Dad bought it.

I'd have that over a silver one any day.

I do prefer the darker grey/silver colours better than the 007 bright silver, but to me they are the only colours that look right. Certain cars look better in a certain colour even if it’s a cliche. Ferrari , red , Subaru ,  blue, Honda Jazz, NHS prosthetic beige…
