Oil change and filters done on the Astra dizzler today, so I'm ready. Will drive up early Saturday and being soft I've got a B&B booked, even though I'll be in a campable estate. It'll also stop me getting roaringly drunk mat the cat style, as don't want to be hungover for the drive home!

I'll be driving up on Saturday morning from Stansted so going up the M11 & A1 route. Sadly not in my shite Merc as can't find the time to get the brake pads changed and the MOT sorted, so going up in the less than shite Saab.

Good plan, though the Dyane's OK on motorways.  

 

Suggestion: the middle route is less urban, avoids Nottingham altogether, and means we can all meet at Tamworth services.

Cheers Andy. The haggis pies and pasties seemed pretty prevalent on the East coast, in all CO-OPs and suchlike, but don't bother on my account if it's gonna cause any aching of the balls at all.
