i own one,2.5td with pas,ex severn trent water, now beavertailed, will have to put some pics up,its work in progress but i will finish it.

the 400 in the link only has a single wheel axle, which must be really rare these days, drove past it a few times as its local to me,and really doesnt look to bad if you look beyond the rough paint

Here's another Daf 400, this is always on my friend's street:

Amy hasn't! The poor Zafira, no wonder the front pads are needing changing and the front discs have a massive lip on them!

I came up alongside an LDV Cub at a traffic light not long ago.  When the light went greenI was surprised how much of an effort it was to keep up with him - I really had to pedal hard to stop him getting ahead.

My mate round the back has s 2003-ish LDV Tipper. Might try and buy it off him.

They go pretty well up to 30-40MPH.

Thread resurrection!

Came across this on Facebook.  I'm on the LDV staff group as I used to visit as a supplier in the 90s

It just strikes me as a totally AS way of working if you're going to try Peugeot as an engine supplier. Send two lads in a van and make them drive overnight rather than a hotel!

Not sure if I've mentioned before, but my dad had a couple of Sherpas.

First one was an ex- British Telecom van that had been converted to diesel with an engine that was governed to about 45mph. My dad claimed it was a tractor engine, but apparently it shared parts with Metrocab taxis. He managed to improve the speed by fitting an overdrive but gave up on it when the gearstick switch started smoking... Funnily enough he repainted over the BT yellow with - matt black! It took us on several holidays with mattresses in the back instead of seats... WAJ926Y. Happy times..

He then progressed on to an E plate Freight Rover minibus. It died spectacular after a round trip to the Isle of Skye..

He then bought a Mitsubishi L300 van..
