a well spoken gentelman is on his way from about 40 miles away to" have a look" lets hope he doesnt want to discuss payment plans an warranty....

Part exchanges come with a comprehensive warranty underwritten by Cavcraft Ltd - 2 years or until you are at the end of the driveway

That's shite it looked nice. After Mr C owning 2 100% trouble free Citroen's in a row I'd half convinced myself that they're now fine and reliable automobiles.

Its sold to a nice chap from the real world. He appeared delighted. I have steered him in this direction. Any cityrover owner needs to be here.

Thank god for that. For one zillionth of a second I was considering parking options.

20k miles and under 100 quid. Felt rude not buying it. If it ran for a week its cheaper than a hire car . Good luck to the buyer

Hello guys I purchased the cityrover, and it only just made the 40 mile drive home which had 1 or 2 steep hills on the way. New clutch has been ordered and will be put on asap. I am really chuffed with it as it will be my first car and will probably end up in a field but until that point it'll make a great alternative to riding my motorcycle 40 miles to work each day with the dropping temperatures

We'll done Gwomble you've saved me from myself. I looked it at first and thought oh that's less than an hour away! Google maps said 64 minutes so that helped but I've been fighting the urge to get my Rover fleet back up to 9. PHEW!!

We need an Autoshite NE Scotland meet at this rate!

Literally cannot go wrong for that money, new clutch can't be too hard to fit either, looks loads of room under there as well.

Superb buying.

Do clutch, use it, Sell it with a months mot for at least double what you paid.

Welcome along and well done in equal measures.

Posted

Well done ginger, as my dad used to say 3rd class riding beats first class walking.

Air con and leather in a first car is pretty nifty too.

Are you any relation to ultra(womble)?

Posted

No relation to ultra but on the way to collect the car I went past a place called wobble hill and I'm ginger so that's why I chose that lol

Posted

Welcome! Do you know the history of the rover group or was it just 'an cheap car' and then the odd bloke selling it said pop over to autoshite?

Posted

Well bought and welcome along to the club. Hopefully it will be a good car and do you proud. You will probably find that there is a lot of love for Rovers here, so keep us posted on how it is going for you.

Posted

I know a bit about the rover group and remember being in a few when I was younger also the odd bloke selling it told me to head over to autoshite

Posted

Thanks for all the help guys, can anyone point me in the direction for an owner's manual??

Posted

Any questions, day or night just phone Lee.

If anyone can move this further south than Aberdeen (sort of nearer Carlisle perhaps) then I will inflict this misery on my son for his 18th B/Day (along with driving lessons). And post photos of the happy* teenager.

Is this because once he's 18 childline will no longer listen to him when he rings up to report this insupportable cruelty

I blame the gits he goes to college with who seem to think that unless you have a Corsa, Audi or BMW then your parents are punishing you for something.

Christ on a bike, I had to work my arse off to run a car at his age. I didnt give a shite what I drove as long as it had seats and an engine.

I am said bad parent, my son drives a year old A Class, I drive a fucked 57 reg Ka.

Which I just changed the tyre on

Which I had fitted yesterday

In the freezing rain

And I noticed the floor is now so rotten I'm awaiting the point that the spare wheel holder says " bye bye"

WTF am I doing wrong?

Still, he does commute to uni everyday* in it so 65mpg and reliability does make sense I suppose.

* by everyday try 3 days max a week.

Yeah, apparently my lads "full time" course is 9am to 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Fook me, when I went to college to do my B-Tec I were there 9 till 5 Monday to Friday. And when I did my nurse training you dont want to know what the hours were. Fooking shite. Evenings, weekends, nights, 7am starts - all this whilst "learning".

Kids these days ( etc etc)
