but I agree thats no normal/standard issue British registration mark, i suspect it must be from some sort of British-connected/influenced place or the such like, something/somewhere that was RHD and used British style/fonted number plates

whatever it is must be pretty old, or fairly loosely connected going by that style of number plate font also

in-fact I  wonder if thats not a registration mark at all, but instead some sort of company specific system? maybe the vehicle was used in a large yard or airport etc, and given an internal identification mark?

Could it be some sort of sovereign citizen nonsense perhaps?

This.

It's more than likely an 'Asset Plate'.

At Leeds Bradford Airport we had these for vehicles that were not used off company grounds, so were not registered.

Here's a weird one.

This old Iveco looks like it's been dragged out of a hedge  but what's going on with that numberplate? FSS 9601 certainly isn't a UK reg and doesn't match any format I recognise.

Northern Irish plates have an I or a Z. (I as in Irish.) That has neither. Presumably an off road plate, a foreign one or a daft false one. @LightBulbFun?

In 1994 Mornflake Oats—milling oats in Crewe since 1675—took delivery of three ERF EC14 Olympics supplied by their neighbours in Sandbach.

Saw a Mornflake’s truck on the A66 yesterday. Bright orange Scania.

Japanese drivers like a reliable lorry; Japanese lorries like a careful driver.

A good day's work, well done both.

I remember Bata shoes from the 60s and 70s when they were in every High Street. Last week on holiday in Yorkshire , I saw a number of BATA lorries but it turns out they were from an agricultural supply company (Brandsby’s Agricultural Trading Association).

Dresden, 1963. This old funicular carriage is being taken to the museum, it was replaced by more modern units -

image.png.195bf2c0c5e975daee787ce5c4fe5a3f.png

which you can still travel in today.

But the question is what is the tractor pulling the carriage? Bearing in mind we're in the DDR, it's got the look of a Scammel about it.
