Lancia Esagamma. Incidentally, Pagani are still with us, still making tortellini.

I think I've already won truck spotting for this week. Certainly didn't expect to see a Scammell Crusader - there weren't even any at Gaydon last weekend. Ex military I think as it has round headlights where civvy ones normally have square.

Getting ready for the local carnival. Seems to have been converted into a limo truck, as the sleeper unit was full of people drinking bubbly.

Oh, that is simply magnificent.

Perfect for filming your very own remake of Duel along the A421, co-starring whichever unlucky twunt in a BMW 1-Series incurs your displeasure.

My area is dominated by timber/logging trucks like the one below, they are 22 meters long and are driven on all kinds of roads, they are really skilled drivers.

I'd say around 50/50 old and new wagons with the older stuff mainly with the generators.

The last photo has the G.Burrow & Son truck of which the 1st 2 pics show it's ancient genny. That genny wasn't in use but judging by the cable hanging out the back it could be used if required.

An RTF outside broadcasting unit on a Bernard chassis. More Bernards...

Bernard started off after the first world war refurbishing x military vehicles. They then made their own lorries, often in collaboration with UNIC and SIMCA. Bernards were regarded as a cut above your average wagon. The very '60's looking ones above were designed by avant garde designer Phillipe Charbonnaux, (who also created designs for Berliet).

Eventually, like many of the smaller makers, they couldn't compete with the big boys and petered out in the '70's.

A 4x4 Estafette , converted by SINPAR, who were eventually taken over by Renault to build 4x4's for them.

Phun phact - estafette = 'relay' in French, still a popular name for vans.
