I must be missing something, wouldn't an original looked after car be worth more?

Posted

/\ Quite possibly. But if you're in that (smaller) group of people for whom this is what you want, where would you find another, for less than the sum of its parts? FWIW I've seen it in the flesh, and it's a first rate job. Easy to check for rust with a stripped out interior too!

Why? Oh why? What has the poor car done to deserve this?

And how much????

What's it done to be so well looked after and probably one of the best left? The advert should answer that for you.

If (as has later been mentioned) you'd actually read the advert before chucking in your tuppence, you realise that it was STARTED TEN YEARS AGO. If it were now, I wouldn't have done it.

As for anyone else's wit and opinion:

Nanna used to say, "if you can't say anything nice, don't be a troll". Honestly, she did.

I quite like it, it's certainly had alot of work done to it, a d I loved the ebay ad!

Its the sort of car that if I had a substantial amount of disposable cash but still worked I'd buy to commute in...

That is a unique motor. I have a massive soft spot for the BX but I'm even older so something with firm spheres and no sound insulation is not for me! It is a fine weapon you've created there so, best of luck fending off the chancers.

I like it.

Seriously no money, and I have to budget a new boiler and flat roof in the not too distant future.

GLWS! Posted it on French Car Forum yet?

Oh that's why.

Now I know.

Not a member anymore I don't think.

You're welcome to cross post it if you can. Although I'd think they'd have spotted it and will presently be shitting all over it... ;)

Just an FYI for the haters... Note the word "marmite" in the title. It's not on here for validation, just another shop window.

Modify anything, and there's a fair chance that you'll get flamed on this site......................

My pockets aren't deep enough to buy a 2 seater Citroen BX that's likely to leave you deaf and devoid of fillings.

I do like BX's, just not this one I'm afraid.

That said GLWTS.

Thats right, give the lad a load of grief for spending a fortune on his BX. Way to go

If someone was really serious about buying what looks like an immaculate 16v BX , I'm sure a days work would see the cage out and the interior from a doner 8v chucked in, or even a lMeteor or late TXD is probably the same . As someone has already said , at least you can see this one's not rusty.

As my Grandma used to say "Never slag off what a geezer's driving or shagging"
