Is it known how any were made or still live?

Bear Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Wish I had a picture of it; I'm cabriolet obsessed. My first one... A Renault 5 Cleveland Cabriolet. Allegedly converted by McLaren engineers. MBH 772V IIRC. Had all the structural integrity of a soggy cardboard box full of spare Renault 5 engines.
warren t claim Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I think the problem with GM floppy tops is that they persevered with making them out of their saloon variants to corner the practical side of the ragtop market.
Insideimsmiling Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Love the look of the yellow DS above and in fact I used to have a red Visa cabriolet as my daily driver many years ago. I'll never heard of another one and have not seen one to this day, but it was a fun practical car for the time.
vulgalour Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 :< Magnificent Rustbucket, Junkman, warren t claim and 2 others 5
Barry Cade Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Cav cabrio was converted by Hammond and Theide- was a decent factory approved conversion and some models looked really good- worked on a few as an apprentice- also 2 doors were fairly common, only base spec sold here and many were on Motability and automatic. Teracotta and China blue seemed to be the only choice of colour, but guy in my street had a yellow one as a company car. Always wanted to build an SRi variant, but they all disappeared! mercrocker, vulgalour, Bear and 1 other 4

twosmoke300 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Those 4dr visa softtops must have the rigidity of a wet weetabix !
2MB Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Fuck off Citroen, really? The Daewoo Matiz tail lights suggest a third party photoshop effort
Junkman Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Love the look of the yellow DS above... Isn't it amazing how tastes can differ?

I'll never heard of another one and have not seen one to this day, but it was a fun practical car for the time. I had a silver Visa decap, B911 DGP. Was fun.
Sigmund Fraud Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Isn't it amazing how tastes can differ? I think they look lovely, but Chapron's craftmanship* is enough for them to gain a place in the AS hall of fame* ! chaseracer 1
Asimo Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Ugly car ruined Beautiful car ruined mercrocker and Magnificent Rustbucket 2
Braddon81 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Those 4dr visa softtops must have the rigidity of a wet weetabix! Not so I had one of these for 8 years and it was great fun! It retained a lot of upper roof structure and was actually extremely rigid. I wish I'd never sold it. It eventually ended up in the hands of a cockwomble who turned it in to a banger rally special and hasn't been seen or heard of since....... Magnificent Rustbucket 1
holbeck Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 ^^ I want a 'not like' button for that! mercrocker, strangeangel, Junkman and 2 others 5
