Sweet, thanks man, looking forward to that! Not selling that though, that will stay in the collection for a while, haven't had an Olive Green/Ivory one before

Posted

I was going to bring some stuff to declutter and if anyone wanted things I was going to ask for donation towards AS site.

Paddy Hopkirk Roof Bar, large diesel fuel filters, some HBOL, some service items for various cars and box of cassettes.

Posted

Any interest in this? 25 quid to a shiter. Self propelled, starts and runs. Not the original grass box though.

If 3VOM doesn't want this in the end then I'll happily take it off your hands for £25.

Two (maybe 3) spridget also fits A35 steel wheels....free

Are those 13"? If so I'd like those for my trailer please.

Posted

Sam, thanks for the vacuum info. I like the idea of a retro Hoover, but this is not the time or place for that. I am interested in the Mondo thing though, with metal pipes. And if I trimmed down the crevice tool, would it fit in the handle?

Can the machine stand up on its bum for storage?

In it's normal working position, how tall is the machine? (With/without the hose attached please. For under-bed storage.)

Posted

No problem! Yes, it would fit if trimmed down, ive put it in the bag compartment for now, I'll let you do the trimming!

You can park the tools on its bum or on the back when the machine is stood on its bum, and take the hose off for storage. Ill measure the height later, at a parents evening atm. Ill get the metal pipes cleaned up that I have and include those, although they are quite tall. 32mm telescopic poles are buttons on ebay though if this proves an issue in use

Anyone for a c15 towbar?

Tempting, but I am not sure I would ever use it.

Any interest in old toy cars, Matchbox, Corgi Juniors, Majorette and the like? I have a load that I want rid of but would rather see go to a good home than get binned. I need the space so if anyone wants to have a rummage and take a few away FOC I'll bring them to Shitefest. Don't know exactly what's in there but there'll be some prime shite among them.

There will be a fight for these!

Right Joe, I've done some measuring, and it won't fit under Eva's 23cm high bed

Some house bricks would provide an excellent* solution to this however, although the side rails are very long, once under these it'll be fine, I just lift the bed up to get any of the crap we have under there out

The floor tool parks here

or of course take the whole hose off and hang it in a cupboard somewhere.

Want me to measure the metal tubes for you?

Are those 13"? If so I'd like those for my trailer please.

I do believe the are 13 inch.

I shall try and measure the PCD just to make sure I'm not taking something I can't use from someone who can.

Right Joe ... it won't fit under Eva's 23cm high bed.

From memory, the bed in my place is exactly a hand-span of mine, which is 23cm or 9 inches, same as Eva's.

(Edit: Eva's bed, not Eva's hands. A toddler with man's hands? That's just wrong. Weirdos.)

The vac would be for an apartment I rent out to guests, so lifting the bed to access it, or bed on bricks isn't an option. There's someone in there now so I can't check my hiding places. I'm really short of cupboard space etc in there.

Never mind, put my name on it Sam, at £20 with all the gear, it's not the end of the world if it has to come and live at home. Then I wouldn't have to cart my favourite NVH200-2 into the house from the P_Wagon every week.

And the Mondo has 32mm taper fittings? Winning!

Posted

Sweet! Sold, ill dig some metal pipes out at the weekend

Yep, 32mm taper fittings, the tools from the nvh will fit, and 87% of other vacuum tools too

Posted

Would anyone like a stack of 100mm grinding and cutting discs for stone? I found them in the shed and am not quite tight enough to adapt the 115m m grinder to fit them.

Posted

If 3VOM doesn't want this in the end then I'll happily take it off your hands for £25.

Hoping I've got the parts to fix mine so go ahead.

Bub is bringing some wheels up for me, he collected them back in March from Rotherham.

But I've decided I want to move them on (without ever actually seeing them!) due to ongoing costs and issues with my car.

Ford Mondeo 14 inch powder coated x 4. I paid £120 for them, but will accept £80 at shitefest if anyone wants 'em. Legal tread.

I'll take 'em back with me Daz if no-one wants!

Same pcd, wrong offset and an inch smaller.

Posted

I know they were smaller but didn't know about others. Thanks for info mate. .

'Morning all.

SnrYoof has an '05 plated Vauxhall Signum 3.0CDTi. It's been a beloved part of the family for six or seven years and has been exceptionally reliable over that time - surprising given how poor the 3.0 performs in the Saab 9-5.

Anyway, it's beginning to show its age a bit now, and since late last year when SnrYoof got his retirement present of a Jag XF it's been pushed to only undertaking workhorse duties, given its Vectra estate platform and vast loading area. It has consequently been doing many, many short journeys, sometimes a mile each way, just to my house and back, or to the B&Q in town and back...and this is beginning to affect the car.

It's got an EML light showing. For a long time this didn't affect the car at all, but recently the car has suffered sudden power loss - juddering when under load - which then returns quite promptly. He has driven it for a mile or so at 50mph in 2nd gear and confirmed that the ozone layer in this part of town is now severely broken thanks to the smoke the car belched out.

However, the EML light is still on, and the local garage has not been able to trace a code from it to confirm whether an injector is borked or whether something else is on the way out.

Does anyone here have the tools to diagnose an error code from a Signum of this era? I'm more than happy to bring it and beer tokens to Shitefest if someone will spend five minutes hooking it up to a laptop to see what the underlying issue is.

I'm beginning a slow burning campaign of getting SnrYoof out of a big old diesel into a petrol wagon such as a V70 or 9-5, which will be infinitely less grenedey doing short runs around town. However if the fix for the Signum is cheap then it is worth investing in as it's a known reliable quantity.

Let me know if anyone is able to help and I'll happily bring any form of appreciative beer tokens that are requested. :)

Is there anyone close to Ashford in Kent who might be able to pick something up for me from "Kent Volvo Spares" and bring it to SF for a beer?

EDIT: I should add, it's only a load cover, not like five alloys or a gearbox or anything.

Posted

Does anybody want this rocker cover gasket? I bought it for the Colt but it was blatantly incorrect so didn't even open it.

edit: £0, of course

I'm not coming to SF16 (and not just because I know you all hate me) - but if Krujoe (or someone else nearby) wouldn't mind bringing it back up this way with them, then I'd be happy to have your gasket Conrod. Only if no-one attending wants it of course. Hope that's not too cheeky of me.

EDIT!! Hang on a minute, forget that ^  - is Wuvvum attending? If so then he might want it - it'll fit his Hyundai H100.
