Probably broke the door card getting it off as they are weird.

 

Top half of doorcard has a flap which opens upwards and then when you've found the 197 different fittings holding the card on, it slides upwards off the door shell

He just said the rear window dropped so he unscrewed the door card 'in the both halves' put some wood in and left it at that. Unsurprisingly a few things went wrong with the car, he spied his arse and bought another motor. Happily for me there's a £399.99 receipt from Halfords Garages to supply and fit the new alternator in December.

It's the 1.5DCi one with 102,000 miles, so it's probably had nineteen turbos and 28 injectors by now.

+ 82 card readers, the window is likely a little plastic bit that transfers the cable movement to the window runner, £1.50 off ebay and a doddle to fix....or the regulator has chewed the shit out of the cable

The definition of self abuse. Your Laguna is far too reliable so you went out and bought a Scenic that someone else has spent a load of cash on and then decided it was too much hassle.

 

You can only top this by buying a car that is still on fire as you hand the cash over.
