I owned this beautiful 2008 Diesel sport in 2009, loved the way it looked but not the way it drove.

This is the best picture of the pedals I can find.

Similar with Mrs P's 500 which goes back to Fiat today to be replaced with a 500x.

Surprisingly good at cruising and pretty nippy (Twinair model) but the chassis was terrible in my opinion. Probably turn out all four dampers are faulty or something but whilst looking like it would enjoy being hustled around twisty lanes, it really didn't. Rolled around like a mark 1 Renault 5 - If only they made the Abarth in Twinair form, that would be ideal I think

The other half has got a facelift 105 BHP Twinair Lounge, it's a great car. She would have liked a Bini but it was too expensive and it didn't drive right on the standard skinny tyres. Unfortunately the options don't come cheap on the Mini and you can't get away with buying a 'standard' spec car hence going for another 500 Lounge.

Some trim levels do come with height adjust but I have a feeling that its only on the drivers side. I'd have to double check on ours.

I've no idea if the seats will fit but there's no hight adjustment.post-19687-0-93960400-1460097037_thumb.jpegpost-19687-0-82579900-1460097101_thumb.jpeg

We've had a Lounge since new in 2009 and it's been a great little thing, except for..........

THE SEATS ! Most uncomfortable ever, no height adjustment and a solid bar across the bottom of the backrest that causes me actual pain if I drive it for more than 10 minutes.

Had this bad boy (a 1.2 Pop) for three years! Which is the longest over ever owned a car for!!

Seats had a kind of tilt adjust which moves the back of the seat base but not the front. It's uncomfortable if you're tall even with seat adjustment, I had to change the driving position slightly each week.

Apart from that I do really rate them, they're good little cars, and probably what I'd like to get for my wife when she passes her test.

Not had a 500 but I've had two Pandas. Weird how there's no height adjustment as even the povvo spec mk2 Puntos came with it. Having said that, I took the passenger seats out a few times for Ikea trips to make a wee van and the seats were hard to get out of the door because they were so tall - maybe making them higher wasn't an option.

I thought it was a barrel of laughs handling wise, loads of grip even on 13/155/85 (or something like that) tyres. It did feel like it was going to tip over but that just added to the fun. Going at a moderate speed felt like going really fast!

Seats [and seating position] are awful..................used to dread long hauls in these when I was plating..................

They're okay up until the gearbox explodes a month out of warranty.

Great looking things, but interior choice looked really poor when we were looking at them in local dealer.

I'd have one if the price was right no danger.

That must take some doing, 3 of my teenage daughters have abused ours for just over 5 years and about 60k miles and It drives pretty much like new.

If all Fiats are as tough as this I'd consider a Ghibli diesel for work when they get cheaper and I'm a 'All modern French and Italian cars are shit" person

Same internals as the Punto box and same issue with the input bearings shitting themselves...
