Twin rotary with two plugs per rotor is my guess. Which therefore has me stumped a bit. Google suggests VAZ did a twin-rotor Wankel, which I'd never heard of, so I'm assuming that.

Here’s what I unloaded from a Lithuanian box-trailer yesterday. It appears to have been rallied between Moscow and the UK.

 

 

 

 

I’ve been looking for a RWD Wankel Lada (they made Samaras and 110s, too) for years. They’re mostly fake, buggered or pimped – or a combination of these. This late 21059 is the best I’ve come across. It’s genuine, the critical bits are unbuggered and it’s not irreversibly pimped.

I thought Lada just by the massive brackets and rubber straps holding things in place then Italianjob pointed out one coil per plug so I went away from that idea.

 

It looks amazing, had no idea such a thing was roaming the earth.
