Angrydicky Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Fuck bollocks, just seen this and have been after a suitable working radio cassette to fill the hole in the Maestro for ages, but I was too slow and the two that would have been suitable have already been claimed Aston Martin 1
dollywobbler Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Dicky - I've got an old Philips in the garage, which is pretty much exactly the same as the one my dad had in his 1988 Montego. No wiring with it. I think it came via Mat_the_cat somehow. You're welcome to it, but I can't post it.
Aston Martin Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Fuck bollocks, just seen this and have been after a suitable working radio cassette to fill the hole in the Maestro for ages, but I was too slow and the two that would have been suitable have already been claimed I have multiple of everything except the Sanyo. UltraWomble Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Apparently the Sanyo can have the frequency expanded by the simple application of a soldering iron and some capacitors: Ура! Aston Martin Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Apparently the Sanyo can have the frequency expanded by the simple application of a soldering iron and some capacitors:Personally I quite like the idea of a low frequency ORIT radio and the possibility of hearing the Intervision Song Contest live from Moldova. The only reason I discovered it was Russian was because when you Google that model it takes you to Russian forums all asking how to change the frequency. You can get Japanese FM converters on ebay for about a tenner, which I think is the same frequency as Russia? They go for shit loads in the former USSR Dammit, I sold it on the wrong forum. The speakers are probably worth more.
UltraWomble Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Not quite the same frequency shift, but like I said the fact its a functioning ORIT radio interests me, hook it up to a decent Yangi twig and see whether I can pick anything up.Failing that I could recoup my money flogging it to some Ruski Lada taxi owner Oh... HillmanImp Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Have paid for mine but like a tit I paid it from the joint account, so am going to have to explain this to Mrs Imp as we are on a very very strict budget at the moment until she goes back to work, only spending money on 'essentials'. I think a stereo for a car thats off the road is not top of the list of things I am allowed to buy...... I suspect I will be living in the car but at least I will be able to listen to some PHAT TUNES YO! skattrd, For Fiats Sake, anonymous user and 4 others 7

richardmorris Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 That takes me back- had a pull out system with little handle in my 2cv from 1993 to 1997. Replaced it with a Panasonic cd player which then later went into both of my CXs.
