anonymous user Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I just glanced at my crystal ball and for a horrible moment thought I saw a Laguna headed for Scotland. I was so traumatised I have thrown it out aldo135 1
Ghosty Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I was going to say Laguna (Desmond) II, too.
scaryoldcortina Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Somewhere there is a picture of a Volvo parked near a Laguna.
aldo135 Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Sorry couldn't get the kids down! Home fine in the Roffle Rover. Drove great most of the way but was not too keen on going into gear when I came off the A1 into Edinburgh. Got it home ok and will look at it tomorrow, no complaints given the price! Thanks to Scary Andy and Ian Bstardchild, top 'shiters! Will be back to see Andy soon as he is fixing my Volvo for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk oldcars 1
scaryoldcortina Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I think gear cable issues are also a common 75 feature* to compliment your water ingress and airbag faults. Glad you got home, I hope it turns out well. I'll get a look at your volvo tomorrow sometime. Someone should make r75 shaped "tribute" stickers with stuff like "Rover Cars 1878 - 2005 - If one day I break don't cry because it happens every day and you would always be crying" and "Oh god, what's wrong now" Actually, Laguna ones might* be funnier. Pillock and aldo135 2
Bstardchild Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Hmm - I was convinced those "dude I almost" stickers were covering bumper scars.... possibly I was wrong Glad you got back OK
Barry Cade Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Heading south from Edinburgh, all will be revealed in a couple of hours. Probably to an AA patrol... Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYou'd be lucky- I've been in Auld Reekie all day covering their arses. I think they must be on strike! aldo135 1
aldo135 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Does anybody want this for £100? A 75 2.0 V6 manual. Has got potential but needs a few things sorting, most obviously the gear cables which have left it stuck in 2nd! Has had belts gaskets and a clutch in recent times, don't have paperwork but Scaryoldcortina Andy knows the garage that completed the work. I have the V5 in my name, just came in the post. Also needs a good clean. Mot'd to July. I'm in Edinburgh eddyramrod 1
aldo135 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 FFS would have been easier to fix the car than update the header though Tapatalk!
aldo135 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Stuck it on gumtree for £150 and just got offered... Fuck all!

rml2345 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 It's better than those idiotic scrap/export cards that appear under the wiper or tucked in somewhere. This is damgerously tempting and the weather is improving...MUST RESIST... aldo135 and The Moog 2
Kiltox Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 'We do not charge like other scrap yards'? What planet is this melon on?Few scrappies do actually charge for removal now with the price being so low.
CortinaDave Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Twitchy twitchy.. This is on my doorstep. aldo135 1
BavarianRetro Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 If you turn up up at Henderson & Kerr with a car to drive it over the bridge, they charge you £25 now. I think that text was pretty fair. Polite, and no hard sell, "last resort" mentioned. I had a customer today who needed a car lifted before Tuesday and struggled to get anyone to take it free. Fortunately a serial shiter was able to assist. aldo135, DodgyBastard and purplebargeken 3
vulgalour Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I still like this car. Unfortunately I already own a Rover so I cannot help you. aldo135 1
DeeJay Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 How big a job and how much would it be to sort out the gear cable? aldo135 1
