The longest, most impossible AS collection relay.

I think it would be easier to build one from spare parts than attempt any of this.

Since when has that bothered you.

I have no idea what is going on here now......

I must have dozed off in the meeting.

Bs was going for the record of nearly a whole country relay but it sounds like he's come to his senses

Not yet. There's still possibilities.

There's always a way.

I could probably do some sort of Birmingham-Chester, maybe Manchester type thing as can get train if needed?

That google maps picture says you can cycle the whole thing in 2 days, what's your problem? I'm sure a bike can fit in a BX

And as all the peoples know, a BX is 2/3 of a BMX, so add an extra day, and you're sorted... Maybe*

I might be driving a van to Northampton and back to Ludlow on Thursday and a car up to Stoke on Sunday if that would help.

If someone has AA cover, and has an epic, irrepairable failure in Fife, and lives near Newquay, and gets relayed home, then there may be an empty returning vehicle. You never know! I've done Wick to Wollacombe before..

Tried knobbing the sister* of 'Beamish Transport's traffic manager? Pillow talk might liberate a freebie flatbed (with signature met green)...

I think it would be easier to relay WilsonWilson from Newcastle to Newquay so he can drive the car back than sending the car the other way ;)

I think this is a splendid suggestion and the precedent has been set http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-31700049

All we need is a crate and a transport firm that does COD

How cheap d'you want to go?

You can do a Super Offpeak Only Available To Otterwearers ticket from the Toon to Pastyland for just over £100, and for that you get a train seat and everything. If you buy lots of tickets for the individual legs it's more like £80. Or you could get a coach down to that there London Town, then another one to Cornishland, but death would be preferable and a lot quicker, even if you stabbed yourself in extreme slo-mo.

Flying obviously makes sense; that way you get there quickest and (assuming it's not utterly shanked) get to drive the new Shitemobile part-way home before passing out through lack of sleeps. Im sure an idiot ASer would be happy enough to put you up for the might along the way.

I'm just at the M25/M1 intersection if it helps, and happy to offer food/bed/beverage/piss-taking.

There should also be an award for 'shortest, most pointless stage'. Anything under ten miles would be a start.

I can do sussex to kent ...but its not exactly on the way north   And Dartford crossing costs money  , so i'd stop this side...

That's it!! Fly and bus to Cornwall via several major European cities, getting super-spotteresque spots of chod as you go.

If we are relaying you south I can pluck you from the A1/M62/M18 area next week and get you to say Northampton. As a bonus you'll get a ride in an AS-qualifying classic* lorry.

I'll take it via Alicante from Kendal if you want, need to take some stuff over anyway, that should add a good 3300 miles onto the odo.

Bonny looking car, but what's the headroom like in a BX with a sunroof?

Poor I think. If memory serves. The missus did remind me that I had one and sold it rather quickly. I'm sure one of the reasons was seating position.

I have very short legs and a long body. I had a 205 GTI and a BX19RD at the same time, each with a sunroof. Different sunroofs, obvs, but they were both headroom stealers.

If only you hadn't got rid of a cracking diesel estate.

Oh yeah..

That's looks ace, and if you want to store it in Derby off road for any amount of time en route, holla at me.
