Well, seeing as I've made £9 profit* on this car, I might as well stretch up to a tenner then!

Get in.

Hijacking some one else's thread touting for business like a cheap prostitute wins!!!

Bollocks! What happened to 10.35? I could have been dissapointed last night , instead I had a dream last night that I was in a Fast and Furious type race in a high powered Japanese sports car, worryingly I think I was the Orienral bird in the pink S2000.

Congratulations to Bavarian Retro , he'll have to live out my fantasy now.

Looks like I'm going to take this after speaking to Bavarian Retro.

I'm trying to think of a way to collect this and get rid of the Espace at the same time, really I need a buyer for it as close to Aberystwyth as possible. Or if anyone fancied bringing the prelude up and taking the Espace away at a reduced price that could also work...

Disappointed to report that Mrs DW is not even very slightly keen on me taking the Espace on. Which is annoying. Not that I can really justify it to be fair. After all, I only put the Prelude up for sale because I need the space and money. Removing those two from my life again would be pretty daft.

You need to apply some man logic here Ian. The Espace can provide both covered space and extra storage, or be used as a greenhouse and potting shed, and all the time provide entertainment as a driveway ornament. How can you now live without it?

Can you now live within it, because I think you would be.

An Espace is simply a covered area, which is rust-proof and can be moved about from time to time. You'd pay more for a rot-prone wooden shed of such proportions. There is usually a way of helping ladeez see things from the correct perspective, if this is not it then try another.

Solar collector? Park near the house on a chilly but sunny morning and pipe the hot air into the breakfast area. Mobile electricity generator, for when the power's down? Hot water heater and storage (a few black 25 litre barrels on a sunny day will give you both free baths). Piece of late C20th art? Or since you're a motoring writer, perhaps you could further you career by buying something which is at that transition stage from banger to classic? - then make it a first and sell for a profit a few years into the future, once it's helped you move into your new house. The wheelz alone will be worth many Yen.

It seems the Prelude is struggling to find a new home, even though it has been ROFFLEd. Any suggestions for what we do next?

Eh?

re-enter in the next draw with the same names/numbers? or kill with fire?

Did I miss something?

Yup. FOAD can't take it after all, and BavarianRetro seems to be having logistical challenges with collection. If this isn't resolved by Wednesday, then I'll attach it to that night's draw.

How much is/was it?

All tickets were sold - though two haven't been paid for yet (one of those is fine as an agreement is in place). If the person who still owes me hasn't paid up by Wednesday, then one ticket will be available for £10.

Let's hope the odds deal with that potential issue! I'll consider a contingency just in case...

Alternatively, anyone who wants it for £100 (what a bargain!) and who can get it away at a time suitable to DW can make a £100 donation to the forum hosting/maintenance/upkeep and avoid the lottery that is a raffle.

Mot'd Prelude for £100. Beat that.

Go on then.... For £100 I will have it...

Sorted! Make the donation and arrange collection.

Right Ho. Can do donation now (to who?) and can collect mid April.... Is that ok??

Not ideal to be honest Bob. I was seriously hoping it'd be away by the end of the month. What a saga this car is proving to be.
