Sold this to a lad at the railway station who kept asking me to leave it on the database. As I walked home, he was in the petrol station right next to a police traffic car and looking really shifty

That's it for now, you'll be glad to know.

Shit the bed. Can't believe how old some of thee pictures are. Scary how time flies!

Love the Merc beavertail.  Proper early for a Mk2 T2 as well.  I've never had one, but imagine them to be like a Dodge 50, which are a great old truck.

I was actually searching eBay the other day for an early Vectra B with the 1686cc Isuzu engine.  Couldn't find owt though.  One of those would make a brilliant (if not very fast) daily.

Yeah, it was a great old bus, but no power steering sometimes made life difficult. As did breaking down on the A41 in rush hour with a Cavalier on the back when the little pre-filter on the fuel line jumped ship. Underneath the paint on the sides were the remains of the signwriting where a Merc car dealer had it when new I believe. Winch was a Warn one I think, pulled a dead XM full of scrap and on it's arse up the bed no problem.

Yeah, it was a great old bus, but no power steering sometimes made life difficult.

My second Dodge 50 (the beavertail one) had PAS - fugging luxury.  Mind you, the steering on the first one got pretty light when I had my LT40 van on the spec.  It'd actually wheelie if I sidestepped the clutch in first gear with the van on the back.

Only a litre but I took this everywhere. Pretty hard work to drive on motorways (a bit like the 306, keeping up to sort of 80mph could be tiresome) but I must have put a few thousands miles on it

DSCF1695.JPG

Definitely not a fan of them. Not me, guvnor.

DSCF1801.JPG

Special mention to this little funkster. Collected from a Peugeot dealer in Crewe (maybe Nantwich, can't remember) it looked perfect in that colour

This (1.5TD) sadly was a bit shagged

Regretted selling this at the time but as we all know, it couldn't have found a better keeper if I'd spent a lifetime trying

Haha, yes! Quite a few actually, all the 'modern' pictures are jammed up all over the shop on this computer.

That is some list, plenty of respectable stuff in there. I only remember a few from posts of old though, mainly the 306, 5 door Burgundy Corsa and the ex Bol Cavalier.

I like these car history threads, but I do miss the date-stamp and demand its return.

And as we pass the datestamp years...

A very unlucky car for me. Sorry, Eddy, but was glad when this got weighed off

tara%20puggy_zpsapfnsz0l.jpg[/url

This also got sacked off after a disagreement with veg oil (pump started pissing out) plus some other issues that happened during my cack handed ownership (all my own fault) and the final straw was an early morning knock from the coppers as someone had cloned the plates in Milton Keynes or somewhere and MILFED/BILFED/WHATEVS from a pez station. It had done me proud pissing about with my cycles so couldn't complain

This had a few issues (1.4 petrol) and absolutely reeked from previous tip runs, but was fantastically useful due to the load space. I pretty much just used and abused it and I'd defo have another one and petrol again because I'm scared of the diesels

Renvan2_zpsrymzglc4.jpg

Say what you like, aside from a stupid issue where it would just refuse to start for 15 minutes-one hour every now and then (including on our holiday) it was fantastic. 177,000 miles or so, no service history and royally abused yet remained the perfect car. Ace on fuel, 6 speed box, cruise control and took masses of abuse off me

'I can't find the MOT' said the nice man I bought this from in Stoke. I did quite a bit in this, including a Jag and few other things then eventually took it for an MOT. Oh, how I didn't laugh when it made something like 3 pages of failures and it turned out some of the bolts mating it to the chassis were missing or glued on. Still, I sold it for a bit more than I paid for it and it hadn't half done me proud in my ownership so no real complaints

Ebay find, nightmare trip as pretty unhelpful seller who lived exactly 327.976 miles from civilisation (near Oswestry, to prove my point) the 'slightly blowing exhaust' sounded like a tank and I got stuck in horrific traffic coming home. In mostly daily use as veg oil friendly

And a hatful of horrors to finish with.

This was just absolutely horrible. Not in any way, shape or form nice to ride, in fact pushing it would have been nicer. I cannot complain about the condition as Hairnet was totally honest and it was very cheap, but it was an experience (this bike/type of bike) I don't want to repeat

nt650%20honda_zpsrk8jvm5y.jpg

Why did I get this? Lord knows, exceptionally awful, but ain't that the whole point?

I'll throw this back into the ring, actually, as it was crap

There can only be one winner though, stand aside my CAR OF THE YEAR 2015...

daewoo%201_zps7pdlrnqj.jpg

It was so far beyond bad as to be hysterical, it had a MASSIVE dent (described as something like 'small dent, hit gatepost) and had been parked by feel. Several thousand times. Even I will have to go a long way to eclipse this shitter but I 100% promise I will try in 2016. Brilliantly awful car.

(I've missed a few out, I think, will amend thread occasionally if I find them)

Roll on 2016 and some more Daewoo-esque finds, I'm getting excited already.

Billy how many times have you sold a luxobarge Jag just so you can take the family on holiday in an Astra/Pug306/other-random-shopping-trolley?

Great thread by the way.  :-D
