Just take the bonnet off. less weight, moar speed and all that.

Good work - I had one of those in 1.6 flavour which i destroyed when i rammed it into the back of an Insignia on the M27 one morning in February 2012. it was alright as a hack.

Winner. I would add bonnet pins as i see the rear has been "de wipered" as the kids* say.

if you weld the bonnet shut on a VAG, is it a chastity belt?

No,it's classed as an "equipment and software upgrade"

Rear wiper may have striped it's gearbox, common fault, check the bonnet catch mech simply hasn't seized up. Copious amounts of Plusgas/WD40. Binned our Felicia this June after just shy of 5 years, in the last year it had done a scary 28,000 miles, was scrapped due to a weepy head gasket and the mrs hit one of those ballast bags lying in the middle of the road, and it bent something underneath. It had only the basics done to it, and it took the abuse. Bought with 67k on, scrapped with 135k on. I've seen one of these with the silly side of 200k on, looked rough as a badgers arse mind

You could even space the letters a little .Taking drink orders for a Yorkshire coach party?

Sorry, incorrectly spaced numbers are dangerous and risk the safety of innocent children and hard working families. Unlike ten year old brake fluid, that's fine.......

Seriously though that looks like a wet Wednesday in Margate in October encapsulated in Car form. Kudos!!!

Agreed re heater!

front strutbrace was fitted for 2 reasons:

1. so they could legitimately have it on the Groupe N rally cars

2. to make getting the battery out a sod of a job
