Splendid work sir, nothing quite like some long range shittery.

I'd say that given it was last on the road in 2011 the odds are fairly high...

I take no responsibility in keeping my CX at mr tourings house while I'm at work. This "may" have influenced this purchase.

Still pissed off that he's collecting his to take home before I've got mine home (bought 2 weeks ago but still in scotchland while I'm driving my bus up here).

Jesus just google where/what Hassocks was, that's a long way from home. You gonna tell us all your route and we can all be on standby up the country incase it all goes wrong? If you break down in bucks/berks/oxon let me know, and I'll tell work that Amys waters have popped or similar/CUL8R and come help/laugh/buy some LHM

If your quick you'll be able to take a winner of a picture of 2 CX's side by side.

There may* be lots of photos of them side by side if it does make it up here!

I'll take two choices;

1. A seat spring breaks and pokes 320 up the bum.

2. Broken accelerator cable.

Posted

If you do get stuck whilst still in Sussex, I can pop over, look at it and breathe in sharply.

And bring tea, I can do that too...

I guess it will be mechanical or electrical or something else. Safe journey, not jealous at all !!!!!!

Obviously it has not been without its foibles..

1. Mucheos steamery from rhsrear of bonnet. Problem solved by applicationing of water and tightening the cap on expansion tank, as it was loose.

2. ftp at friends garage due to lack of volts.

Dollywobbler has been applied:)

Fantastic, I watched this go though ebay but managed to hold of bidding having just bought my CX 2500 I/E Pallas Auto. I discussed it with a friend who said he was going to bid a bit more than it went for, but he didn't. I am so pleased it has ended up on here and can't wait to here how you get on with it.

Thanks to Mr Touring for letting me have a drive. How odd is that Scotman lets a Welshman drive his car. In Sussex. Drives pretty well. Possible charging issues and a noisy wheel bearing promise to make tomorrow an interesting day. That and the fact that there's 500 miles to cover in an utterly fabulous machine. Best of luck!

If needed there is a refuge in Buckingham, where minor repairs can be carried out and it can be stabled if required. 14 miles from M1 J13 or 18 miles M40 J9.

I hope this won't be needed but it's there if you do.

Remember in January I went even further, to Brighton, to get the 760 Turbo and only the other week I went to Purfleet to get a bus.

That said, I'd say a CX that has been laid up for 4 years doing a similar distance is MOAR BRAIV than me.

Take LHM with you, supplies in Buckingham if you need it.

I reckon the cause of the ftp will be aforementioned lack of electricity ... or an lhm leak.

I hope you've packed a spare battery and large bottle of LHM.

Wow. Overdose of bravery pills I think.

Of course, CX + Dollywobbler always equals success. no?

I hope it breaks down somewhere half wayish. Say, Birmingham.

OH THE IRONING!
