Does this have PAS. Thinking of it as a learner car for my son.

Pride's don't have ABS, PAS or Traction Control. Which makes them good learner cars as you have to drive it. Not the other way round.

All pedals have a good feel for a learner as well, at least they did on mine.

Remember the people that designed this also did the MX5. They knew how make a car fun to drive.

^What he said. Small cars feel much better without power assistance.

Is it a one litre or the mighty 1.3?

I learnt to drive in one of these, a P-reg in lovely metalic blue and was brand new at the time. No PAS wasn't a problem and as others have said its probably better. Visibility is gr47 too for parallel parking 3 point turns etc.

I had a Mazda version as my daily for a while a few years back.  Definitely does not need power steering.  The old carb versions were better than the newer ones cos no rev limiter - it was surprising how many traffic grands prix one could win by not changing up until 7,200 rpm.

Why would a learner driver need PAS? These weigh naff all. A great motor in fact. Barg.

Now that's a great idea for a freebie. More cars on here need to come with loose ladies.
