Ate it's alternator belt. Nowt carastrophic though it appears theres an engine mount in the way.

Look at the steering lock on that 190!

I'm fairly sure I didn't have it on full lock there as well

Once again I have been an utter arse and forgot to get a pic of the AA box for my own collection. Next year maybe.

Look at the steering lock on that 190!

 

Looks odd because, like a 2CV, the wheel displays positive camber as it turns. Once had a Land Rover bloke tell me my wheel bearings must be shot!

You will also have to get underneath it to loosen off the lower alternator mounting before it will slide forward on the upper mount.

I worked that bit out but didn't get round to putting the car on ramps to replace the belt.

 

Bolts on the engine mount undo cleanly as I had a look at doing it that way as well.

I still managed to have a decent time it was nice to meet fellow shiters, Big thanks to Trigger, Catsinthewelder and Station for stopping to help when the Alto broke down and to 320touring for the brake fluid. Also well done to Ian and Matt for arranging everything.
