I think it needs to be earlier than 9:00. Google reckons 45 minutes from there to the show, and we need to be at the show by 10am.

8:30?

We need to be there by 11am, so 09:00 @ LC is fine.

Bowing to the pressure exerted by Mr Conelrad, meeting is preponed to 08:30.

I can't really decide what I'll do about breakfast. I'll probably struggle to decide on the day too.

What is everyone taking by the way? Looks like be coming in either the Tetanus MR2 or the Peroduce Nipple.

Currently it's looking like probably the Sera, which now needs fixing as I accidentally broke it last week

If I don't fix the Toyota in time (parts pending) either the Aerodeck or a not very shite Diahatsu Storia X4.

1% chance of Umm - but I need to get a weld in taper made by a hot rod place I've been told about. If that arrives in time I then need to drill out the track rod end, have the taper welded in to the TRE and MOT it the day before the meet ... Not likely :(

I'll book some garage time for next Saturday morning just in case ;)

Posted

FOAD: both look quite impressive and I'd be happy to see a TATA or 305.

After a brief visit to the garage today there is now a 5% chance of an Umm appearance. Progress was made on the TRE, but I need a favour from someone I might not see in time.

Sera still looking most likely despite the custom made HT lead I ordered having the wrong connectors and being sent back, fingers crossed they get it right the second time.

Aerodeck in second place and I have a new fuel relay - I just need to be a contortionist to remove the old one and fit the new one.

My plan is to be at Lymm for around 08:30 and head off at around 9am.

Squire Dawson

The Iron Curtain will descend on Little Thief, hastened by the 1500 mighty Volga boatmen. A campaign plan for the Russian Invasion of the arena has been drawn up. I predict an Autoshite victory.

Does Vladimir Putin know about this? I bet he would be delighted.

I'm now a definite no-show unfortunately, got too much else on - my ticket's still up for grabs if anyone needs one.  PM me and I'll send it on.

The sideboard could be making an appearance.

Possibly.

Can't promise.

I'm trying.

My participation looks unlikely. With me passing my exams at work the other week, came slightly different shift pattern. Applied for a day off and it's 'subject to traffic' meaning I'm working unless they find someone else to come in.

FPB7 we could have made the deal there and then ;)

Before I forget:

The Shady Oak do NOT take cards, so if anyone's planning a meal/few drinks etc you have to pay cash.

Helpfully* the nearest cash point is probably a few miles away, so please bear this in mind.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to bail out of the camping side of things. I've got two nights-out on the road this week and I'm in the doghouse due to going out last weekend and getting dangerously pissed. So for the sake of family harmony I'm staying home this Saturday.

Will still be at Chompley early doors on Sunday like. I'll be in Saab Turbo. You'll hear me coming because: exhaust b0rked. Might have time to attend to it but Saturday has been allocated to household tasks (see 'in the doghouse' above).

Is there any sort of convoy from the south? Meet at Keele Services or summert?

Posted

I have utterly failed to get around to MOTing the Renault this week - it ran out on Monday - so I'll be turning up in the Executive Audi.  Soz.  (Also, there is zero chance of getting there by 11am in the Renault.)

Will probably bring my mate Ripper along for the ride.  He's the same one that went with me to collect the Discovery from Andy18s.  I am inducting him into the ways of shite.

Am up for a convoy meet-up at Keele if we're in time.

Non-Scottish Ovlov shocker?

Provided I am fit to get from just outside Glasgow to Chodomdeleyong for 10am Sunday after doing a collection from Essex on Saturday (all in a day)*, I will be bringing the 740 of much loveliness.

*Live collection thread will open on Saturday morning.

Simple solution. Get a lift with SVM. Buy an old clunker for cheap in Cheshire. ROFFLE at Cholmondeley. Get a lift home. SORTED.

I'm not buying another cheap banger in Cheshire after bringing a 6 legged Olympian up the road. I'll be there. The 740 will be there. Just you see!

David, wouldn't it be easier to park the bus up somewhere on Saturday and get a lift in with someone Sunday?

Plus, if it was nearby we could come and have a sit behind the wheel and make brum brum noises look at it  :D
