It's a ZE40 so no rapid charging, 22kW AC.

Will need to charge twice and each one will be maybe just over an hour.

I didn't really do any route planning and decided to just put my destination into ABRP and give it a go.

Waze said to use the M11 but ABRP said M1 and to be fair, there are more services/chargers on the M1 so did that even though it took an extra 20min or so.

Gets to my first stop at Toddington and it's Gridserve, 11kW.

The car came out on 76% battery and I made it to Toddington with 26 miles left. Had a look on zapmap and there is a Tesco a few miles away in Flitwick with a 22kW point. Both were in use when I got there which was surprising but one was an Ionic 5 and one some sort of Kia. I looked and your Ionic can actually charge at 22kW AC but why you would bother when it's the same price for CCS, who knows.

Only had to wait about 10min to get on and I am up to 51% in 30min. I need 101 miles to get to the next Tesco in Alfreton so will aim for about 85% here.

whats for lunch :P

The Tesco's didn't have a cafe so I had sausage and egg triple sandwich, mini sausages, and 2 custard fingers.

I was targeting the Tesco in Alfreton but I decided to save 15min driving and risk the Gridserve at Tibshelf services which claimed to do 22kW.

Big nope, didn't start to charge at all, just had "ongoing checks" on the car for 2-3min before I gave up. At least the pre-authorisation was only £1 and was back on my card in minutes.

Now at a Harvester just off J30 which has a BP Pulse unit which is working fine.

It's only 45-50 miles to home now so I won't need to stay here too long, maybe to 50%.

And home.

Final scores on the doors:

The M1 was definitely the wrong choice, somehow it's taken me 8 hours to get back when it should be a 4.5-5 hour drive. 1st charge stop was 1 hour 16 with 10-15min waiting, 2nd stop was 34min, back with 30miles left.

HOLY SHIT I JUST SPOKE TO A COMPETENT HUMAN AT MOBILIZE

Seems that I am down as the agreement holder but they are waiting for me to send some paperwork back. Paperwork I have not received.

She asked me to confirm all my details and it turns out they have managed to enter my email address wrong, they have put @gmail.com when it's @gmx.com. I rechecked the form I sent them and I 100% did put my own email down correctly but whatever.

She's going to get the electric vehicles team to update it and send me the emails again.

Have I got the lease on Zoe 1 transferred to my name yet? Of course not.

In amazing scenes I received a contract 1 day after the last post which I duly signed and returned.
6 days later (30/10) I got an email saying they couldn't make out my driving license photo and could I send them another which I did straight away.

Rang today to see what's taking so long.

Drone 1: sorry sir, this agreement isn't live, I can't really do anything or tell you anything, you need to email Electric Vehicles.
Did tell him some of his more competent colleagues managed to speak to Electric Vehicles but he wasn't having it.

Drone 2: took details, on hold, talk to Electric Vehicles. Deny receipt of 30/10 email and ask me to send all docs again.

Jesus tittyfucking Christ, all I'm trying to do is give them my money.

And also, today they sent me a Ltd co agreement proposal under a new number presumably based on the form the PO sent in July which they claimed they couldn't access.

Updates:

Both Zoes sold. Mobilize did finally sort out my lease transfer for the white one about a week before it sold.

Random BCA shitter purchase, drove OK but the heater didn't work. Managed to move it on to a lad who tried to PX me the Mondeo he came in which he happened to mention was actually an 04 plate but wearing a 56 plate, I declined.

In today:

Seems decent but loud as the back box is in the boot. Only 5 days MOT though so I need to get lucky there to make much on it.

The BCA fees kick the arse out of it even on a £250 knacker you end up working to make £1-200 which is ok if you are brassic which I am hovering around because first job in 6/7 months but lordy I don’t want to touch that end of the market.

You're not wrong, this is what this cost me off a bid of £175.

£50 for a back box and £50 for an MOT is the absolute minimum it will need, hoping £750 or so would be achievable but you wouldn't want to be relying on it for income

As long as the back brakes and axle are ok it should be fine. But yeah thats a tough do.

Praying for you.

Edit I will of course take a random if it is the learner friendly small engine.

As the back box was provided FREE in the boot of the panda I thought I'd see if I could effect a repair and save £50.

The metal was as thin and rusty as you'd expect, I squared it off and cleaned it with a power file.

Annoyingly didn't quite finish it as the wire fused itself to the tip in a way I couldn't recover and I don't have any more.

I reckon with a slathering of gun gum and some new rubber mounts this will do for a test.

Autoaid spot on as usual although they did make me tax it before they would send someone out.

Needed the big BCA jump start which is always a great sign. Wet inside, looks like it's been left with the drivers window down. Did drive for a bit but with very haunted electrics, dash/clocks on and off and lots of bonging.

Google says wet BCM, recovery man says alternator but that doesn't explain why it did drive OK for a while with a jump.

I'm just getting them to stick a pair of budgets on for £60 each as I can't be arsed with taking it away and spending time in tyre huts sorting it myself.

Mini is alive, it was the battery. Charged it for 24 hours ish and it was reading 13.summat volts but it dropped to zero as soon as you attempted to turn the key.

Coming to a for sale thread near you imminently.
